Grandma Glor

grandma glor & catholic nerd,

I thank you so much for your prayers. I truly need them. I tried to have some fun last night by taking my daughter to a concert. The music was fun, but I had a terrible migraine. I have been taking medication for the migraine non-stop for about 16 hrs. now. I think it was the humidity of the night (we were outdoors) and all the smoking. I did put on a happy face for my daughter, though, and I don’t think she even knew I didn’t feel well. So, prayers must be working!

Thank you all for praying for me! May God bless you all abundantly for your kindness and faithfulness!

Much love,
Judi

Judi, I hope you’ve managed to recover from the migraine. Please God you will have not just a break from pain and sickness, but that God will kindly give you good health. I ask Him also to give you relief from stress. Love, Trishie

mom4truth: I will pray for you. Thank you for all the prayers that you have said for me.

Trishie & Trust in Him,
Thank you both for all your prayers! I pray for you both, also. Yesterday was awful. My family went to my parent’s house for a small get-together. We played a game with them. I was feeling badly before we went (migraine & intestinal pain) but went anyway. Anyway, during the game I began getting extreme stomach pains and I had to leave. This was about 7 pm. DH took me home and I went to bed. I couldn’t eat anything all day. Every time I put something in my mouth the pain got really bad. So - that wasn’t too pleasant. This a.m. I’m drinking coffee, but no food. My biopsy results come in tomorrow. Please pray that they are not positive for cancer, Crohn’s, etc. I DO NOT WANT any more surgeries. I was in bed most of the day yesterday. What a way to spend the last weekend of the summer with your family, huh? 😦

Still praying hard for you…praying for a complete healing.

Father please bless this brave Mom who has suffered already so much. Please bless her for her devotion to her family and the sacrifices she has made for them in doing things and going places even when she is so ill.

May the peace, mercy and love of Our Lord continue to be with you and may all the test results be good…

Continuing prayers for you, my friend …

May the Lord help you and heal you.

Hope you’ll feel better today.

Merciful Father, please help this loving mother heal. Please let the result of her tests come back negative for any disease and please guide the medical staff to help her without reverting to surgery. Please allow her to resume her health so that she may continue to care for and guide her family as You would want her to do. We ask this in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. AMEN

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee:
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
now, and at the hour of our death. Amen

Dearest Mary, Mother of God, please intercede on behalf of this kind woman and mother. AMEN

SweetHart,

That was a beautiful prayer! Of course, I’m crying again! I will pray for any and all of your intentions also. There are so many kind people on the board. I just can’t believe it. Everyone on here, this thread, you have no idea how much I appreciate your prayers. I pray for each and every one of you, also. God bless us all and have mercy on us all.

Much love,

You remain in my prayers ***
’hounding Heaven’ for your healing!

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, so that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen

Thank you, Gail, for all your prayers. I am so grateful! I will pray for you, too! God bless you, friend!

Much love,

Galilea,

That was a beautiful prayer! I have a question: why do you think God is letting (allowing me) to be sick for so long? It’s been 21 years of nothing but illness after illness - and I’m not talking like a cold, flu, etc. These are debilitating illnesses. I would like to share some happy timees with my family. Why isn’t God letting me do this? I wonder …

I am also praying for you. God bless you!
I have read through this thread, mom, and I’m so sorry for your illness, and pain. I read an article in a Catholic pub back in PA, a few years ago, about a female saint who was sick, like for most of her life. She was able to ‘build’ a school for girls from her bed! Of course, she gave orders to others to be her legs and hands during this difficult time, but I found it remarkable that she did so much being so sick. So, the moral of her story could be that our even though we suffer greatly in this world, we can still be a great testament to God’s power and might, moving out of the way, and letting Him take over our physical selves. We are but a vessel which He works through. And despite disease, our souls can still be used for the glory of God. All things work together for good, for those who believe and honor our Lord.

I am not good with names, even great saint names. But, if you do some research (or I will and post back) she probably could serve as a great encourager right now for you. I will keep you in my prayers. You are very inspiring, as well as others who are going through such struggles, yet find the time to post, pray here, and serve as encouragement to others.

Please know you are thought of today, and you’ll be in my prayers, daily.

Whatevergirl,

Thank you for praying for me. I do recall that saint (though I, too, have forgotten her name). I’m trying to be inspired, but right now I’m just trying to get through the pain. Your prayers are so needed. I will include you in my rosaries. Bless you! - Judi

Thank you, Bee! How are YOU doing? Is everything o.k. your way? I’m praying for you, too, dear friend! God bless you abundantly (I mean it!)

Love,
