Dear mom4truth,

Visiting the Adoration Chapel, along with calling your cardiologist, sounds like a real good idea to me. You’ll have your mother there to monitor your health in case you need to get to a doctor. You’ll be in excellent company with the Lord. What about seeing a priest as well, to see about receiving the Sacrament of the Sick?

Praying for you, my friend …

" Most holy apostle, St. Jude, friend of Jesus, I place myself in your care at this difficult time. Pray for me; help me know that I need not face my troubles alone. Please join me in my need, asking God to send me consolation in my sorrow, courage in my fear, and healing in the midst of my suffering. Ask our loving God to fill me with the grace to accept whatever may lie ahead for me and my loved ones, and to strengthen my faith in God’s healing power. Thank you St. Jude, for the promise of hope you hold out to all who believe, and inspire me to give this gift of hope to others as it has been given to me. Amen "

You will be in my prayers that the Scared Heart of Jesus (Divine Physician), will grace your heart and body with healing.***

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, so that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen

I need to call my cardiologist today. I’m trying not to move - I’m so scared. By the way, my Mom and I are considering just staying at Perpetual Adoration. What do you think?
Love,
Judi 😦
You have identified both problem and solution! There is no fear in the presence of Christ. Ponder His wounds and He will give you strength. The tremendous suffering that killed him in those a few hours will inform you of the value of suffering. Also, know that suffering is only in this life, and prepares you for the next, in which all human negativity vanishes, and joy reigns. We all look forward to perfect, resurrected bodies without defect.

Christ’s peace and strength to you.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

jesu:

Thank you for praying for me! I am going to read that Psalm right now. Haven’t seen you on this thread…welcome…in case I’ve missed you. My prayers go out to you, too!

Judi, praying very hard for you. May God help you to overcome these horrible health issues. You are in my prayers daily.

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Prayers and Intercessions

Christ is filled with grace and the Holy Spirit. Let us proclaim his greatness and trustfully ask him:
  • Lord, give us your Spirit.
Make our day happy, without disturbance, without sin,
so that when we reach evening we can praise you joyfully with pure hearts.
May your radiance shine on us through the day:
guide the work of our hands.
Watch over us: let us do good in peace
and do what is right, with the strength you give us.
Look kindly on all who have asked for our prayers
and fill them with good things, both in body and in soul.

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those that trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Lord, be with us in all we plan and help us in all we do,
so that our every action begins from you
and is completed through you.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever.
Amen.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR CONTINUED PRAYERS! The cross is becoming heavier and more difficult to bear. More difficult situations have arisen, and I’m afraid I don’t know what to do about them. I tell God: “I give all this to You”, but I am seeing no results. That, or He has already told me something. Please keep praying I make Christ-like decisions.

You are all in my prayers.

Blessings,

“Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Wounds of our Lord Jesus Christ to heal those of our souls”
“My Jesus, pardon and mercy, by the merits of Thy Holy Wounds”

Judi, it is about the giving of self. It is about total surrender to Christ. It is about being caught between desiring this life and desiring the next, as Saint Paul lamented. It is about realizing that God’s will is done, both through pain and Heavenly pleasure. He has already given you the strength, even though you may doubt at times. He loves you through your doubts and marvels at the patience and endurance you have already shown Him.

You remain in our prayers.

I’m sad that things are getting worse, Love.
Jesus please lead our sister to health and happiness.

I, too, thank you for all your prayers in the past and pray for you now. Like PO Guy said, another day above ground is good!
Bless you and peace be with you.

Dear mom4truth,

God loves you. He gave you a beautiful theme song for your soul, and He has not forgotten you … nor will He let us forget you. You are precious to Him, and you share so much with us. You have so many people praying for you … Maybe you can consider this as a result … that so many people here at CAF are grateful to know you, especially as you draw so many together in prayer for you, along with your praying for others. Reaching out to others while keeping the focus on Jesus … this builds up the Mystical Body of Christ. May the Lord richly reward you, and may He touch and heal you.

From the Liturgy of the Hours for 9/24/08:

Psalm 26 (27)
Keeping faith in time of peril

The Lord is my light and my help: whom should I fear?
The Lord protects my life: what could terrify me?
When they come to do me harm, to consume my flesh,
my enemies and my persecutors, it is they who stumble and fall.

If their armies encamp against me, my heart will not fear;
if battle flares up against me, even then will I hope.

One thing I beg of the Lord, one thing will I ask: that I may live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
so that I may behold the joys of the Lord and always see his temple.

For he will shelter me in his tent in the time of evils.
He will hide me in the hidden parts of the tabernacle; then raise me up on a rock,
lift me high up above the enemies who surround me.

In his tabernacle I will offer him a sacrifice of shouts, of songs, of psalms to the Lord.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.
