Also, what does your signature mean - is it in the Bible? Just curious…
Satan quoted scripture in his vain tempting of Christ. He could not tempt with tradition, whose sole purpose is to honor God. So, he used scripture, knowing that the meaning of words can be twisted. Saint Peter warned us about the twisting of scripture, and so many threads here argue that point. Simply put, you cannot separate the bible from the Church authority which canonized it. When they do, there’s trouble.

I added “See” as a clarification. I’ll have a new sig soon, anyway.

I would appreciate anyone who could pray for me today to ask for an alleviation of my pain. My parents go back to their winter home on Saturday and this is my last chance to see them before they go. I am very close to them. The pain is unrelenting. Anyone who has a second to pray would be greatly appreciated. Your prayers will come back to you! God bless everyone.

Prayers will be offered up for you today, my friend.

May the Lord’s peace scare those pains away.

Merciful Lord, may the full measure of Your love be upon Judi this day, relieving her sorrows, her anxieties, and her pains. May she envision You on Your cross. blessed Jesus, sacrificing even your last breath for her. Strengthen her, precious Lord, to deal with just this day, which has enough evil of its own. We ask this through Your Heavenly, Holy and Eternal Name. Amen! Alleluia!

Prayer for Health O Sacred Heart of Jesus. I come to ask of your infinite mercy the gift of health and strength that I may serve you more faithfully and love you more sincerely than in the past. I wish to be well and strong if this be your good pleasure and for your greater glory. Filled with high resolves and determined to perform my tasks more perfectly for love of you. I wish to be enabled to go back to my duties. Amen I will pray for you!

Prayer for Healing

Glorious Archangel St. Raphael, great prince of the heavenly court, you are illustrious for your gifts of wisdom and grace. You are a guide of those who journey by land or sea or air, consoler of the afflicted, and refuge of sinners.

I beg you, assist Judi in all her needs and in all the sufferings of this life, as once you helped the young Tobias on his travels. Because you are the “medicine of God” I humbly pray you to heal the many infirmities of her soul and the ills that afflict her body. I also ask of you the favor and the great grace of purity to prepare her to be the temple of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

I will keep praying for you. I am going to church in the morning and will pray for your health. God Bless

Father, Your only Son took upon Himself the sufferings and weakness of the whole human race; through His passion and cross He taught us how good can be brought out of suffering. Look upon mom4truth, who is ill. In the midst of her illness and pain may she be united with Christ, Who heals both the body and soul; may she know the consolation promised to those who suffer and be fully restored to health. Through Christ our Lord. Amen

Judi, I lifted you up in prayer before Christ in the Blessed Sacrament this evening. Praise God that I was able to go. Time spent with Christ: Priceless!

My sweet sister in Christ…my prayers are with you, Po and others. In your suffering you are teaching us all to be brave, charitable, merciful, stronger in our faith. You guys can not see it, but your pains have become like the Wounds of Christ, they are bleeding graces on us. Do know that your suffering is not in vain, for it is helping many of us.

I will continue to pray for you guys, you have our love, hold strong you Generals of our Lord’s army.👍

Galilea,

You have made me cry. I am certainly no “general” of anything. My steam is running out. That’s why I beg for all your prayers. At times, I know the Lord is pouring out graces. But, sometimes I think: Can’t you do this another way? I’m tired, Lord. I’m tired of the pain (physical, emotional and spiritual). Won’t you give me some reprieve from this; say, a month? That would be nice! But the battle goes on day to day - hour by hour! I don’t know what He has up His sleeve, but it would be nice if He would fill me in. I know there is great merit in redemptive suffering, but I’m not handling it all that well. I think He picked the wrong person! :eek: I do thank you so much for all your gracious prayers. I pray for you also. How are YOU? Much love, Judi

Sweetie…He is NEVER wrong about anything;) !!! It is just that His wisdom is way beyond any human inteligence. His Greatness can be overwhelming for our insignificant humanity. We are just sooo little next to Him…and yet He loves us sooo much. Maybe one day He hugged you too tight Judy 🤷 haha

Like I told you once before, you remind me of Job 🙂 …You fight, you struggle, you complaint, but you never let go of that life line. You always cry out to Him, one way or another, knowing that in Him dwells everything that you really want. You hold on to that life line of His and we will continue to pray for you, Po and others.

God bless you and your family.

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Psalm 68 (69)

But I turn my prayer to you, Lord,
at the acceptable time, my God.
In your great kindness, hear me,
and rescue me with your faithful help.
Tear me from the mire, before I become stuck;
tear me from those who hate me;
tear me from the depths of the waters.
Do not let the waves overwhelm me;
do not let the deep waters swallow me;
do not let the well’s mouth engulf me.

Hear me, Lord, for you are kind and good.
In your abundant mercy, look upon me.
Do not turn your face from your servant:
I am suffering, so hurry to answer me.

Come to my soul and deliver it,
rescue me from my enemies’ attacks.
You know how I am taunted and ashamed;
how I am thrown into confusion.

You can see all those who are troubling me.
Reproach has shattered my heart – I am sick.
I looked for sympathy, but none came;
I looked for a consoler but did not find one.
They gave me bitterness to eat;
when I was thirsty, they gave me vinegar to drink.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

phoenix:

Those two Psalms were beautiful. Once again, thank you for posting them! You’ve no idea how much better they make me feel - and YOUR PRAYERS of course!

Much love,
Judi
