I am a 24 year old single male. I am a college graduate and have a full time job. Currently, I live with my parents and commute and hour each way to work. I answered an newspaper ad on someone looking for a roommate and turns out, that person is female. I spoke to her by phone and she mentioned she would prefer a guy roommate just for the safety of the home. I have not physically met her yet and was wondering if I could do this or not.
No. It is not a good idea for you to share a living space with a woman. Keep looking and a better situation will turn up for you.

Scripture does not prohibit the co-habitation of two adults, but I agree with other posters that it is near occasion of sin. If you choose to meet with the person, listen to your heart conscious. Maybe you’re stronger than others who might be tempted which sounds like a moralistic position, but in reality it takes one wrong second to commit a preventable sin.

In Corinthians: “1Co 10:23 “All things are allowed,” you say. But not all things are good. “All things are allowed.” But some things don’t help anyone. Try to do what is good for others, not just what is good for yourselves.”
