Okay I would like to congratulate our new pope, Pope Francis
I pray that he leads the church well through the wisdom and grace of our lord. I am so glad that we finally have a new pope. This week has been a tough one for me since I did temporarily leave home for a bit. In my family we have a split. My mom is a Pentecostal and my dadās side is Catholic and I lean more to Catholicism when it comes to my religion. Anyways now I am back and my mom has allowed me to attend mass
I am very surprised at this. My anti catholic mother has allowed me to set foot into a catholic church with permission. Now there are exceptions to this. First if she is home and she wants to go to church then we go with her to her church but if shes at work, studying, or tired and doesnāt want to go to work then I can go to mass whenever I want to. She works almost every Sunday too so it will be about 50/50
So happy
she said if youre going to another church then I hope you get involved in this one. I donāt know what that means but all I know is that I can attend mass now as long as I say I am attending mass :excited: So a new pope and I can observe mass almost every Sunday. Good deal
haha sorry I thought I could share my excitement. Second my mom wants me to really study catholicism and show i have taken an interest in it. I was wondering if some wiser catholics could teach me about the different beliefs of protestants and catholics? I know a little because I did go to catholic school for a couple years and attended mass there and over the summer. But my mom asked me a question that I couldnt fully answer. She asked what is it that you believe that I donāt. Because I wasnt entirely sure what a good answer was maybe I figured I should really brush up on my religion studies
