Are you going to answer my question about your god, Annie B?
Oh - which god are you referring to? There are so many we have that I really cannot remember which one you are talking about:wink: . Get back to me on that one and I will sort through all of them and try to come up with something that will satisfy you…:extrahappy:

Apparently you are not asking the right people.:o Also, if you are approaching people with an honest desire to know truth and not a sarcastic attitude trying to make them “slip up” somehow, you may eventually get the answers you say you are looking for. I have noticed that most of the questions asked in any of the threads about Mormons are not from sincere truth seekers, but rather from people who are really trying to tear the Mormon Church apart (which will never happen so you al may want to sart saving your anger for something else;) )

Annie
Annie B I have posted 4 question twice on here to Z I did thank you for your reply, but you did not really answer the questions. I have not asked them with sarcasm nor anger, but with a desire to here the answer from someone in the LDS Church. My apologies if they appeared to be a trap to do anything but get honest answers to your what I have heard is taught by your church.

I know you are being sarcastic but don’t you see that what those of us out side your church believe and when you won’t answers our questions with straight forward answers it only reinforces the belief that LDS is not Christian .but a pagan religion.

Yep. This, exactly.

If you really want answers, I would suggest a stake president or well informed bishop to help you out. As with the Catholic church, it is often best to go to the clergy, and keep going, until you get the answer you want. I cannot tell you how many times I have sought answers about the Catholic Church and have been refered to a preist.
I wish you luck -

The ONLY thing that can change any unbeliever’s mind is the Holy Spirit - no man or woman has that power.

well I would be more than happy to answer any question you have or refer to a link that would be able to get you the answers. As I know of no LDS near me going to a member of or your clergy is not really an option for me. Also since you are here and are a Mormon then I thought you or any one her that shares your faith would be able to answer the question in presented or supply me with a web link to those answers.

What about your god on the planet Kolob? Is he imperfect, too?
This is actually a very valid question. Through the doctrine of eternal progression, Mormons teach that men can become gods. The god of earth, heavenly father, who lives near Kolob with heavenly mother (or mothers?), was once a man on another plant. It would therefore stand to reason that, as a man, he was imperfect in his prior incarnation; but, as a god, is now perfect. I’ve never thought to ask how they reconcile that dichotomy.

Thank you, but I have no more questions. As far as not having any LDS near you, I would be more than happy to help you locate some - they may be closer than you think!

Well thank you but I have a feeling that I would still not get any answers. As I am sure that would be no more forth coming with answer than what i have gotten here.😦

Again I do thank you if for nothing else but for not ignoring me or others that have posted Questions. Any response is better than silence.

Do you mind if I ask you a question? How sincere are you about getting answers to your questions? Do you want answers for the sake of getting answers or are you seeking more “amunition” to attack the LDS church with? I do not have all the answers you seek. That does not weaken my faith in the least. Truth be told, watching how most Catholics behave in this forum has done more to bolster my own faith in my church than I had imagined. I did not realize that if one is Catholic, then one can judge others and their beliefs. I sincerely wish that there was more harmony here - no matter what we all believe. It seems that attacking the beliefs of others is something that the posters here are very good at and spend alot of time doing. I am of no more worth than you and you are of no more worth than me; we are PRICELESS in the eyes of God no matter what we believe!

You are welcome. However, I wish you would try to get the answers from a member of our clergy. You might get the answers and you might not. The point is that if you really want them you will continue to seek them. How can you be sure that they would be no more forthcoming than anyone here? Could it be (and I mean this honestly - not as any type of cut to you) that you are afraid of the answers? I was taught that the only foolish question is that which remains unasked. If you really want the answers then got to the source that you are most likely to get the correct ones. All of us here are “lay people” - go to the clergy if you are truly interested in answers.

Good luck!
Annie

You know a really good tool is to ask questions in the chat on mormon.org. There are nice people ready to answer questions. 👍

I think Annie, Z and why me would agree

so you really came to Catholic answers to preach the mormon gospel. was it because of whyme’s call for help on the LDS boards?

Nice MISSIONARIES. Be a little forthcoming, will ya? And no, they will not answer the questions ask, but they will answer the question they think you should have asked.
