I’ve heard very good things about eharmony, does have any experience with it?
I’ve had some experience with it. I was thinking about rejoining it. I just paid for a subscription to Catholic Match, and I am a member of Ava Maria Singles. Good, bad, or pathetic? Your call. 🙂

Seems sensible to me. If you’re going to look, you might as well go all out.

My best friend says I should also join jdate.com (a Jewish dating site), since I think Jewish men are hot (ie Elliott Yamin). 😃:love::love::love::love: Everyone else thinks he is ugly, but more for me!!!

I’m still in a silly mood. 😃 And I wonder why I’m single:blush:

Without going into detail, I lived in Nashville while in college, and my label dropped me because I wouldn’t act like the country version of Britney Spears (this was in her heyday) and do “favors” for them. One of my handlers asked me “what do you think your knees are for?”. My answer, “praying?”. 😃
Brilliant. 😃
My voice is a very country one, so it is interesting in choirs. I tend to stand out becasue of my accent.
Oh. What kind of accent would that be? You mean distinctly southern or western or some individual traits?

Thank you! bows
It’s a southern accent, a real southern drawl. My speaking voice has only a slight touch of an accent (but if I am speaking with someone with a southen accent, I pick it right up). 👍

Looks aren’t unimportant, but they’re not that important, either.

I know you’re being silly, CS…but I wouldn’t join a Jewish dating site. :o Jewish men (I dated quite a few between high school and college) if devout, usually want their wives to convert to** their **faith. Not saying it could never work, but if you truly want to meet a devout Catholic man, you won’t meet him on a Jewish site. 😛 I am looking forward to hearing that you have found a good match for you, soon! ❤️

I’m not planning on joining a Jewish dating site (I like bacon). Plus, I think Elliott is cute, but in interviews he comes off as a complete moron (huge turnoff). I could only date him if I could tape his mouth shut and he wouldn’t be allowed to talk at all. He could only sing.

Funny story, when I was in Hollywood for “Idol”, my mom was telling me that I should meet Elliott, have him fall in love with me, and get married in my home parish. 😃 He would have to convert to MY faith. But I was kicked off in Hollywood, so it never came true.

On a lighter note…

I honestly like having the freedom to explore and dream…To travel, to get to know people and make friends, to study, even though I have to work harder than ever, just to pay bills…I like being able to hang out with a guy friend and not have to feel pressured to be his girlfriend or something. I like that I have the freedom to learn about myself. Everyone feels the need to tell me that I have a biological clock…I tell people that A) I’m still very young, B) God’s timing, C) I’m not guaranteed biological children if I marry young (infertility exists in young women too or my husband could be infertile), and D) If I can’t have biological babies, I will adopt. My great-aunt did that, which gave us some wonderful cousins. My aunt and uncle married later in life and adopted a little girl from China…I’d adopt American kids who otherwise wouldn’t have homes. Naturally, I’d be open to children, as I would want to be open to God and to my husband, but if it was not in God’s plans, I’d accept that.

I agree! 👍 I am blessed to have opportunities now that I will (gladly) sacrifice for a family. But until God lets me know…has given me youth and curiosity…😃

Freedom isn’t bad and having a girlfriend doesn’t have a solid ontological justification anyway.

Bolded part is so true. At 22, I found out that I’m pretty much infertile (I had a 15% chance of having a child of my own). Which scares A LOT of Catholic men off. It hurts. I guess they never heard of adoption? 🤷 For a long time, I convinced myself I didn’t want kids. But recently, I want a family. At 28, I know it will be near impossible for me to have my own children.

Oh, CountrySinger, that “bacon” remark gave me the best laugh all day 🙂 !

Homer: “you mean you aren’t going to eat bacon, pork chops, ham, or sausage?”
Lisa :“Dad, they are all from the same animal!”
Homer: “Yeah right, a magical animal”. 😛

It’s bad when I’m in a silly mood.

That’s hilarious!!!

My dad has Jewish ancestry, but as Italian-Americans, we always joke about how there’s no way we could be kosher: pancetta, sopressata, salami, pepperoni, linguine and clam sauce, calamari (baked and fried), carbonara, pasta e fagioli…It’s funny, I’ve been attracted to a ton of Jewish guys too, but I can’t give up my faith…or my diet:)

Let’s face it: clears throat You all are into black-haired guys with dark eyes! 😃

Not necessarily:) I’ve liked a fair amount of blond guys with green or blue eyes as well…I believe in equal opportunity cuteness 😃
