I hope to bring to your attention that a Mother Theresa convent in Sri Lanka was raided by local police and the National Child Protection Authority and arrested Rev. Sr. Mary Eliza without evidence. Mother Prema MC arrived in Sri Lanka. After the sign of protest by the Cardinal and Bishops, Christians and Catholic in Sri Lanka refused to organize the National Christmas Ceremony which is sponsored by the Government of Sri Lanka due to the high handed actions which resulted in discriminating media broadcasts around the island regarding Missionaries of Charity.

Please say a Hail Mary for these Sisters and pass this message to everyone

Archbishop of Colombo his Eminence Most Rev. Dr. Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith who is the head of the Catholic Church in Sri Lanka made a statement to the media on the 3rd of December 2011 that he will not attend any Christmas programs organized by state institutions until this matter is rectified. Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith is one of the few Cardinals in the world and will represent Sri Lanka at the Vatican City in Rome infront of all the Catholic’s in the world. The Prem Nivasa and Sisters of Missionaries of Charity (Mother Theresa’s) is a part of the Catholic church not only in Sri Lanka but the whole world.

Rev. Sr. Mary Eliza who is the Superior of Prem Nivsasa became the first sister in the world to imprisoned, we have to say Sri Lanka is very good at entering the History books and has been humiliated on the international perspective many a time. The NCPA (National Child Protection Authority) lead by Ms. Anoma Dissanayake raided the Prem Nivasa convent on the 23rd of November 2011 with media and without even giving time to produce all relevant documents has made statements to media that they have just busted a child farm to which the media depicted it in several other ways.

Prem Nivasa has been sheltering pregnant woman and under aged pregnant girls who cannot face society since 1984 in vision of Blessed Mother Theresa of Calcutta. The convent acts as a refuge to destitute our society based on culture rejects. Prem Nivasa is very closely connected to the Department of Probation and Child Care Services and all adoptions of children are done through the it. Its also not possible to just take a child for adoption as legal documents such as Birth certificates would be missing, these documents have to be given by the courts. This is however not what news media in the island depicted.

The media has leveled heavy accusations to this children’s home (convent) treating it as ordinary house run by thugs. The accusations include selling of children to foreigners and locals who can pay money, running a baby farm, and hiding children, even though there has been no solid evidence to prove this. The media has further gone on to interpret certain issues and has made a total mockery of this situation…
Already we have received reports that many people of other religions who find fault with the Catholic Church are hooting and publicly discriminating Catholic’s of Moratuwa in public due to this fake information given by media…
