I know this isn’t directed at me, but I’ll take a crack at it even though I know mlchance can speak for himself.
Of course most Christians think that homosexuals should be respected as human beings, as a fundamental right. Please don’t get us confused with some Christians who condemn homosexuals to hell and all that. I’m pretty sure you’ve been around here long enough to know what the Church teaches about the subject, and if you truly think that all knowledgeable Catholics would act in such a way then maybe you are not being honest yourself?
My point in this thread, which admittedly is off subject, is that speech however egregious can’t always be censored, and personally I feel Canada is going down the slippery slope of fascist totalitarianism where people of faith will be treated unequally under the law. God forbid, people of faith will ultimately be censored completely and may even face violence for their beliefs. There is anecdotal evidence this is already occuring.
