Manuel Lozano Garrido, a Spanish journalist of the 20th century, is expected to become the first journalist to be beatified by the Catholic Church. He will therefore become known as one of the “Blessed” when he is so recognized in a ceremony to be held on June 12.
I am very pleased to hear this news.
May God grant us more vocations and Saints
Hope he will be canonized soon . He can be a great
defender for the disabled too, not only journalists.
With God’s blessings.

Too cool! I used to be a journalist myself for many years (both Catholic and secular publications).
St. Francis de Sales is already the patron saint of CATHOLIC journalists (meaning those who work for specifically religious publications), but it’s nice to see someone with secular journalism experience so honored.
