I believe this is the most beautiful post I have seen on here.
Mother Teresa never preached the gospel with anything except the actions of love, and said that in those final hours of their lives, the dying people she served did not need to be intellectually converted from their life-long religions. She thought the love of the gospel transcends all religions.

“It is impossible, therefore, to know the true Jesus and be in a state of heresy.”

**You can know him but not follow him! You can Know “about Him” In John 6, He clearly states and repeates himself 12 times that we MUST eat His body and drink His Blood to be saved. He says it is His Body, His Blood. Crazy people deny this like Jesus would lie! That is a heresy! **

But is it impossible for a heretic to profess to love Jesus?

Of course not! They can profess anything the want! Weather it is completely true or not! Many protestants do Love Jesus!👍 But, this is the false Jesus their groups tell them about! Not the real Christ that founded His One Holy and Apostolic Church 2,000 years ago!

Further, I would not think it wise judge who does and who does not love Jesus by which denomination they belong to.

**

We are not called to judge we are called to witness to the truth! Aren’t you even in your false group, or did they remove that from the scriptures? **

Lots of Catholics do not love Jesus, and lots of them do, just as with any other denomination.

**

ALL Catholics LOVE Jesus! However,Satan does have some Catholics acting like Protestants and under his control.

We pray for their conversion just like we pray for “real” Protestants.

Reg, Try not to use the word “demoninations” please unless you say Protestant demoninations. It is confusing. It actually seems like Protestants are another denomination of Christianity and that isn’t possible! There is the 212 Roman Catholic, Eastern and Orthodox Christian denominations and then there are all the phony Protestants, with their 33,000 counterfeit groups, and non-denominational groups with 28,000 sub denominations, and various associations, conferences, conventions, fellowships, groups, sect, cults and unions, music feasts, pot lucks and socials.**

Well, I’m a little bit confused here. Because I know that Catholic Church doesn’t require rebaptism of protenstant (which I do believe is Lutheran), but with other protestant such as Baptist, Pantecost or… will require to be rebaptisted? (is it correct or wrong?🤷 )
Well, it DOES depend on your definition of ‘protestant.’ I’d not consider Mormons christians at all for example and sure enough, their version of baptism is not considered valid. Not because they aren’t catholic, but because they don’t believe in the Trinity. Since they don’t believe in the Trinity, they cannot baptize as Jesus commanded “In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” A similar test is applied to the way each particular sect actually baptizes. If it meets the definition handed down by Christ to his apostles, it counts!

Realcath, I give up. Being right isn’t all there is to the faith. I recommend reading some Fr. Benedict Groeschel.

Well, that depends. Someone can profess anything they want, it does not make it true

If the heresy is to deny that Jesus had a human body, then no matter what they say, they neither know nor love Jesus.

If it is a dogmatic heresy, say the Real Presence, they may love Jesus, but they do now know him truly.

Manualman, for your info, in my country there’s no mormon yet, the protestants that I mean are Lutheran, Methodist, Baptist, Pentecost, Bethel etc which I know only Lutherans who don’t need to rebaptist if they want to come back home. So, I’m confused. I know that in my country, many time are a little bit late for news about catholic such as added mystery of light in the rosary prayer, in my country it was announced around 1 year after.

wina,
Are you sure that Methodists rebaptize? Coming out of Anglicanism, I didn’t think they did. Maybe I’m wrong.

Jon, I got the answer, yes Methodist doesn’t need to be rebaptized.
And here, in Indonesia, any Protestants who join in PGI ( Is like membership of any Protestants churches) will not need to be rebaptized to come home. But the problems is I don’t know exactly how many of them?😊 🤷

Hi wina, 👋

Well there are 61,000 different Protestant groups, some don’t believe Jesus is God, some think He wasn’t actually a man, some thinks He is an angel. Others do not believe in the Holy Spirit as God, but also as a angel. There are many distorted and corrupted beliefs. To know how many had valid baptism would be a guess. When there is any doubt. The person can be “rebaptised” incase the original baptism wasn’t valid. It is not a normal practice!

All Protestants when properly baptised are mambers of the Catholic chuirch even if they don’t realize it or practice the true teachings of Christ!

I think most dioceses have a list posted on their web site showing which denominations’ baptisms are accepted. To my knowledge all mainstream Protestant Baptisms are valid. The Oneness Pentecostals have to be rebaptized. Of course, as mentioned above, JW and Mormon baptisms are not valid.

Methodists are not rebaptized.

In this day and age, however, if I were a pastor and someone under the age of 40 came to me, I would conditionally baptize anybody since there has been a vogue among many denominations to baptize with deviant formulae, such as, “In the name of the Creator, the Redeemer, and the Sanctifier.” That is invalid. There were also “rosebud” baptisms in which the minister would dip a rose in the water and sprinkle or touch the baby . . . Not valid.

**Hi mercy, 👋

As you said the mainstream Protestant’s are known to be valid. There are 21 new groups formed weekly around the world. With 61,000 counterfeit groups. It is hard .but not impossible, for a priest to be sure that the original baptism was valid.

As I study the various denominations and their sub denominations I am amazed that they even acknowledge each other as Christians. We do because of their Bapitsm but many of their 1,375 doctrines, belief and dogmas are strange and many are pure anti-Catholic.

God Bless**
