I think I typically have a pretty pragmatic, realistic and conservative approach to the numerous environmental scares the media throws at us. However, I have to say I think there are too many red flags on this one. I can’t imagine the can or worms opened if something goes wrong on this. A disaster waiting to happen.

I think this makes perfect sense.
Far better to build it in the right environment vs trying to build on the frozen tundra. Think of it as a modular home, they are lower cost and are better engineered than ones built on site. There are over 60 floating power stations operating around the world (not nuclear though).

The US used a Nuclear barge to power the Panama Canal for a number of years.
