Unfortunately, I was trying to be charitable to the point of being incorrect. I will try to do better in the future.

This Bishop needs to study the Catechism, Canon Law,
and get back to saving souls rather than being involved in politics.

When Bishops spout garbage in writing in a written public forum, send a link and a copy to the USCCB with a copy to the Pope.
I have already taken care of this one.
Do not be a couch potato, and make certain he is never promoted to Cardinal.

I agree with respondents who refuse to put life aside as if it were just “one issue.” I agree that it is the issue, a cardinal issue (as it were) around which so many other issues hang. Setting it aside and looking at all the rest is not justice.

Now, we may be charged with being unreasonable. We may be told the need is to compromise. We may be told that it’s unrealistic politics to focus on one issue, and demand justice for it while other things are being done that are positive. Frankly, I believe this is political appeasement and that not only is it unreasonable, it is dangerous.

Abortion is the new slavery, the new holocaust. It is drowned with and supported by quietism. It is exaclty quietism, compromise, and looking the other way that causes such rampant death and denegration of life. It always has.

President Obama could cement world peace, cure cancer and land a man on Mars. It would all mean nothing -especially to future generations- due to our permitting of abortion, the death toll of which is astronomical, and each “number” on the toll is an unquestionable innocent.

No, Heads of State and leaders need to be courageous and stamp out the absolute social evil of abortion. Compromising on this issue is no different than the 3/5ths compromise or any other politically expedient compromise that has disgraced mankind and nations throughout all history.

You seem to be confusing Obama with Bush.

Obama is more commonly associated with either the Messiah or the anti-christ.

I’m not convinced his grasp of Roman Catholic theology is all that sound. He is clearly a product of the 60’s and 70’s seminary culture that included that heresy known as liberation theology.

i so agree with you. the Catholic Faith under his care is almost gone. he has forbidden the Latin Mass in his area. one of his priest called the cops on Catholics bcause they were putting prolife panphlets on cars at the parking lot of the diocese.

he himself has been involved in scandals.
