I used to sort of admire Chuckie, 30 to 35 years ago. But I’m afraid he has gotten weirder as the decades have gone by.

When we in the Empire proclaim “Long live the Queen!”. we really, really, really mean it.

If she lives long enough to be able to come within a year or two of skipping a generation, that would be just great.

I have wondered about this. Does the Queen have any authority to name her successor?

I am pretty sure she doesn’t. It is 100% hereditary position with iron clad rules as to who is next in line. She could step down if she wanted to, but she doesn’t seem to want to, which I think most people are quite happy about.

When I first read this thread title I thought he was saying that they should go blow themselves up. Then I read it. And got disappointed that he didnt say anything that funny. I feel sorry for you brits sometimes, but then I realize what our politicians are like and I realize that we arent any better.
