The Steelers were that bad. It was a huge embarrassment. Offensive offense and disastrous defense. It was like they forgot they had a game tonight.

Browns didnā€™t have a good game either. I can always tell because one of my friends posts on social media a picture of Art Modell holding the Super Bowl Trophy when the Ravens won it in 2001.

I was going to buy a Baker Mayfield jersey but the team is going to have to play better than that for me to spend the money on it rather than on an Eagles jersey.

I like football on TV better too. I like baseball better in person.
Agree. I like hanging out in the stadium bars with decks during a baseball game. For a football game Iā€™d honestly rather be tailgating in the fan lot. Thatā€™s where all the fun is.

Iā€™m sorry that your abundant enthusiasm wasnā€™t suitably rewarded in the first half. šŸ˜

Thatā€™s true, and things do seem to be looking up so far in the second half. āšœļø Too bad I probably wonā€™t be around at the final whistleā€”itā€™s 3am here and I have an appointment in the morning šŸ˜¬

That made me feel a little better. I laughed out loud at the Moncrief remark.

I thought at the end of the game when they called a penalty and gave Houston another try after they missed the extra point was another bad call. He was already finished kicking when the Saint player accidentally barely touched him. It didnā€™t affect the kick. Fortunately the Saints were able to get the field goal to win. What a great final minute of the game.

Geaux Saints!
I live in Texas, but I root for the Nawlins Saints.
I could never root for Jerry Jonesā€™ Dallas Cowboys.
Houstonā€™sTexans just canā€™t seem to get into that higher level of play. They could use a good general manager.

Tough loss for the Eagles tonight. I thought they would find a way after the big catch by Agholor on 4th and 14, but it didnā€™t happen. So congrats to the Falcons!

Injuries can make all the difference. Several key players went down for the Eagles tonightā€¦

Drew Brees (whatā€™s his status? @(name removed by moderator)) went out early in their rematch game vs the Rams which likely made a big difference in that outcome. Roethlisberger went out for the Steelers but fortunately they have a backup who (IMO) showed he may be ready to take over the helm should Ben be out a while? (@DeniseNY)

And whoā€™da thunk it, but the Lions managed to upset the mighty Chargers 13-10!

And the Patriots apparently havenā€™t missed a beat from the end of last seasonā€¦

ABā€™s first game:

Gā€™night

Concur. Iā€™ve been saying for years the Steelers need to train up a new QB before they find themselves stuck. I believe one of the commentators said yesterday that of the Suberbowl XL match between Steelers and Seahawks, Ben was the only player from that game still on the field.

I count a 2-point loss helmed by the backup in the 2nd half as a win.

Ben might need surgery. They should be releasing more info today. I think whatever the outcome, Mason Rudolph should start next week. Ben has been completely flat the first two games, and I do question if his heart is really in this anymore. Donā€™t get me wrong, heā€™s been awesome for the Steelers but it may be time to move on.

Whatā€™s going on with Drew Brees? He stayed in LA to be checked out?

I understand Brees has a torn thumb ligament (ouch!), but I canā€™t find info on the nature of Roethlisbergerā€™s injury. I guess it hasnā€™t been announced (yet)ā€¦?

I havenā€™t seen anything specific either. Iā€™m thinking theyā€™re waiting until after the surgery.

Only two weeks in and Ben, Brees, and Nick Foles are hurt.

Injury is often unpredictable. I dislocated my kneecap just turning a corner in my home, so a torn ligament from a pass block doesnā€™t surprise meā€¦

Browns are 6.5 point favorites tonight vs the Jets.

Leā€™Veon Bell will be playing. His MRI came back clean after being injured last week.
