May I ask prayer for a man whose arthritis is continually painful, never allowing him to be comfortable, day or night … along with other health issues. A severe stress breakdown years ago, due to his obsessively dedicated nature left chronic depression, though he always tries to be courteous and obliging, actually he’d welcome death with open arms. He lost faith years ago. “What broke your heart …” he was asked after his breakdown years ago. “God did. I tried my very best but there was no response.” He said. He’s utterly practical so no religious or spiritual “arguments” answer that objection. His personal sense of what is fair and just is not compatible with faith in a loving God. Unless by some gracious miracle!

May the Lord flood His light and love and healing into his life.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (Trishie’s prayer intentions). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Trishie’s prayer intentions’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Pray for him; help him remember that he need not face my troubles alone. Please join him in his need, asking God to send him consolation in his sorrow, courage in his fear, and healing in the midst of his suffering. Pray for his healing, that he might be surrounded by and lifted up by God’s love, that he might feel the hand of God in his life. Amen
