A Prayer For The Unborn

Heavenly Father, in Your love for us, protect against the wickedness of the devil,
those helpless little ones to whom You have given the gift of life.
Touch with pity the hearts of those women pregnant in our world today who are not thinking of motherhood. Help them to see that the child they carry is made in Your image, as well as theirs, made for eternal life.
Dispel their fear of selfishness and give them true womanly hearts to love their babies and give them birth and all the needed care that a mother can give.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, Your Son, Our Lord Who lives and reigns
with You and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever. Amen

And do thou, oh Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all evil spirits who prowl about the earth, seeking the ruin of souls.

Father, on behalf of the souls whom you have enfleshed in the womb, we beseech Your mercy upon their mothers; that all thought of harm toward these precious children will be abandoned for the sake of the Kingdom. Graciously provide for the mothers, so that they ponder the future with the child conceived within them. Grant that they hold these thoughts in their hearts, as did the Blessed Virgin Mary. We ask this through the intercession of our risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen! Alleluia!

Lord God of all creation, we beseech You to send Your clarity of vision to those mothers who are in turmoil over the child they carry. Graciously reveal to their spirits the blessing of the soul which is yet to be born. In Your mercy, arrange the events of their lives to provide a peace will allows them to ponder their child deep in their hearts. Fill them with wonder at the miracle of life that has appeared with Your blessing. Kindly and lovingly remind them of Jesus’ words to deny ourselves before we follow Him. Thus reminded, may they deny any and all harmful thoughts and place themselves in the position of the child they carry - a life completely dependent upon the love and mercy of its mother. Grant this, O loving God, through the intercession of our Lord Jesus Christ, Your only Son, Who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!
