Precious Lord, during this Holy Week as we ponder the Passion, Death and Resurrection of our Savior, mercifully grant that expectant mothers also contemplate the dilemma faced by our Blessed Mother as she carried the Child of all time in her womb. By the Power of Your Holy Spirit, illumine their hearts and minds to the miracle of life contained within them. Graciously arrange the events of their lives so that they recognize that their own child must be as beloved of them as Your Child is of You. In contemplation of the miracle of life and love which You have created within them, may they renounce all thought of abandoning that love to the evil desires of our corrupt culture of death. May each of them declare to You “Be it done to me according to Thy Will”, in emulation of the Mother of mothers. We beseech You to grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, the babe of eternity, Who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever Amen! Alleluia!

A Prayer For The Unborn

Heavenly Father, in Your love for us, protect against the wickedness of the devil,
those helpless little ones to whom You have given the gift of life.
Touch with pity the hearts of those women pregnant in our world today who are not thinking of motherhood. Help them to see that the child they carry is made in Your image, as well as theirs, made for eternal life.
Dispel their fear of selfishness and give them true womanly hearts to love their babies and give them birth and all the needed care that a mother can give.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, Your Son, Our Lord Who lives and reigns
with You and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever. Amen
 
Dear God, our Father and theirs, please protect those little ones who are denied the safety of their mother’s wombs and instead are brutally destroyed and denied life. And please heal those women and girls who have realised the enormity of what they have done.
Please forgive and heal those who have harmed or killed their babies.
We beg You to protect Catholic doctors and nurses from being forced to perform abortions.
Please ensure that babies are not used for research or medical purposes thbut that researchers confine themselves to adult stem calls.

Our God, please give a rebirth to Christian chastity.
And please let Your angels protect women and girls from rape or pressure, or misguided choices.

Father, may this Easter season provide confused, expectant mothers with every reason to carry their children to term, bathed in the love which Your Son has revealed to them. Grant that they hear the voices of life which speak to them, and that they are able to see the evil behind those who offer them the lie of death as a “solution”. Reveal to them that the life which they carry is a blessing - both now and to our posterity. We ask this through our beloved Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Your only Son, who lives and reigns wit You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!
