Now I will give you in your own words via quote the real answer:
The object here is profit or in other words “rest”.
To teach that men can lose salvation is to place the responsibility of salvation upon man’s self-righteousness, i.e., if I do something wrong than I can forfeit my salvation. Nothing could be further from the truth. When the prodigal son deliberately left home, and went into sin–carefully notice that the father didn’t disown him. The son was still loved and missed by his father. No matter what crimes the son may have committed, he was still a son. Do you think God is less righteous? Shame on those who teach that God casts out His children. It is true that, as Christians, we do sometimes walk away from God; but He is still faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1st John 1:9). There is no depth of sin to which a person can go, but that God will still forgive them if they SEEK it (Isaiah 1:18). What a wonderful Savior! We can find rest from all our supposed righteous works in the righteous works of Christs as our own, for the purpose of eternal salvation.
Jesus is my rest and for my profit He is my Savior my Rock!
The true believer is eternally secure in Jesus Christ. Deuteronomy 33:27 states, “The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms…” Nothing can cause us to fall from the grace of God’s salvation.
“But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” It is not our self-righteous good works that saves us; but rather, our faith in the Lord Jesus as the Christ, who shed His blood at Calvary to take away our sins (1st Peter 1:18-19). We are all sinners, guilty, under the condemnation of God’s Law (Romans 3:19); but when we place our complete trust upon the Savior, to forgive our sins, then we are declared justified… JUST-IF-ID never sinned. Romans 3:28, “Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.” Galatians 3:26, “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” How can anyone teach insecurity concerning salvation, when the Bible clearly states that we are saved WITHOUT WORKS? Man’s salvation is of God, regardless of good works or bad works!
Thye bible tells us that there will be tares placed there by the devil himself.
God does not LIE!
“To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.” — Acts 10:43
Ezekiel 33:12-13 states …
**“Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth. When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.” **
Did you read that? … “If he trust in his OWN righteousness.” This is the heart of the matter here. God is simply condemning self-righteousness. The New Testament states in Romans 10:3-4 …
“For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not **submitted themselves **unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.”
1Cr 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
