That’s right, the True Living Flesh of Jesus Christ is what we eat at Mass every day.Jhn 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
Right again. We are consuming His Flesh and His Blood and because of that I hope to have eternal life.Jhn 6:54
Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
Jhn 6:55
For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
You are so wrong. Jesus did not define “meat” there the way that you think for the same “meat” or better put “flesh” as in John 6. You’d have to go back to John 6:66 to understand or at least try to understand. Since the disciples walked away from Jesus because of what He said about eating His flesh, Jesus did NOT stop them to change what He said because He meant what He said about really eating His flesh as true food. Jesus did NOT stop them to say, “wait, I didn’t mean you had to really eat my flesh, I only meant it as a symbol!” No way did He stop them, He let them walk.REMEMBER JESUS DEFINED MEAT HERE
Jhn 4:34
Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
Jesus had no need to make Himself clear in John 6:66 because He knew what the disciples were thinking and they were right so He didn’t have to clarify anything. In John 4:34 Jesus had to clarify Himself to the disciples because they thought that Jesus had actual food that was sustaining Him physically. And that is why Jesus had to make Himself clear that His food is to do the will of His Father.
Here let me put the verses from 31 on;
31 Meanwhile the disciples besought
him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.”
32 But he said to them, “I have food to
eat of which you do not know.”
33 So the disciples said to one another,
“Has any one brought him food?”
34 Jesus said to them, "My food is to do
the will of him who sent me, and to
accomplish his work.
Jn 4:31-34
Yes, believe the words that Jesus was about to tell them. All these verses are about the same thing, believing in ALL the words that Jesus has said including believing that you are to actually eat the flesh of the Son of Man.Jhn 6:28
Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
Jhn 6:29
Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
That’s right. If you actually eat the flesh of the Son of Man you could live forever. We are not eating manna at Mass. We are eating the real flesh of Jesus Christ!Jhn 6:58
This is that bread which came down from heaven: NOT AS YOUR FATHERS DID EAT MANNA, AND ARE DEAD: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.
