Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

Thank you for your prayers.

Within herself Mother has been better, she got tipsy on a teaspoon of brandy in a glass of water - she demanded an alcoholic drink and was so insistent the staff obliged. Needless to say when the staff asked me to buy a small bottle of alcohol, they learned I was anti-alcohol, however, Mother now has a small bottle in her room. I did not know her TV had a built in DVD player until one of the staff borrowed the Sound of Music and put it in. Mother has had a whale of a time watching it, singing along, and fiercely criticising Julie Andrews. Needless to say she will have her own set of DVD’s including the Sound of Music and I have learned to operate the DVD. Apparently the Sound of Music and White Christmas are the top films in the Nursing Home.

She remembers I am learning to drive and wants to know how I am getting on and offers advice, it just lasts a precious minute, but that gives many hours of happiness.

Ouch, I have some kind of an (intermittent) issue that’s a little similar, in that my leg muscles sometimes contract and stay contracted throughout the night when I sleep, and when I finally wake up and then the muscles finally relax, it is easily the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life. It’s like having your leg in a vice and having it crushed… very painful indeed.

Anyway, I’ll keep your mom in prayer, Avila. :gopray:
