Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Dear Lord,

We lift up our hearts and minds in thanks and praise to you for another opportunity to love and serve you and your people this day. We ask for your divine mercy and care for all our brothers and sisters who are out of work and are concerned about their abilities to support their familes and themselves. We ask that you send them your peace and help them to persevere in the face of adversity and worry about this situation in their lives. Please help them to find the basic dignity in work that all of your people need and deserve as your children, and help those who can provide work to reach and employ those in most need of work. Help all of us to do everything we can to assist those who are out of work in their job search, and to take risks and make recommendations to help your people who might not otherwise have the door of employment opened to them. Please bless the job search efforts and hear the prayers of the many who need your love most now.

We pray in the name of Christ Jesus, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.

Amen.

Thank you all for your kind prayers for those seeking employment. I am one who needs all these prayers–this morning I woke up with much despair but reading these posts, I’ve been uplifted. I trust God will carry me through these hard times.

God bless you. It takes a huge amount of faith to rest in His invisible arms, instead of on the visible security of a job and an income. May He grant you the strength to endure this time of trial. 🙂

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Jesus please have pity on the desperation that so many unemployed persons experience.

Jesus please encourage an improvement in the economy so that unemployment issues and financial difficulties ease.
Please help the unemployed to find work.
Have mercy Jesus in these serious issues for lives and relationships

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible,
look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us,
that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is love and mercy itself

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

I am grateful to have a job right now, although I have been hounded by my father to find a new one. I have been hoping to start a career as a graphic designer, but since graduating from school I have had only one real interview. And now with the economy in recession, I have just about lost hope. 😦 I know there are many people who are much worse off and who cannot find work at all, but it is difficult for everyone right now, whether they have a job or not.

J+M+J

God our Father and our Creator, You bestow on us gifts and talents to develop and use in accord with Your will.

Grant to the unemployed, through the intercession of St. Joseph the worker, as model and guide, employment and work, that they may, with dignity, provide for those who depend on them for care and support.

Grant them the opportunities to use their energy and their talents and abilities for the good of all, and the glory of Your name.

Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Loving God,

We offer our thanks and praise for the many blessings you have given each of us and for the amazing gift of your unconditional love. I offer again the prayer for those who search for work and hope and pray that the plan you have for them will lead them to employment that supports their families and gives them the dignity as a child of God that they so need and deserve.

You are the maker of all that is seen and unseen, and we offer you all the glory and praise we are capable of for ever and ever.

Amen.

Thank you for this thread. I too an unemployed. I spent 25 years of my life building my career as a paralegal. First, my dad had a stroke and I became his caregiver; next he died and my mom moved in with us; mom had heart bypass surgery and i became her caregiver. I lost 2 jobs during these episodes becasue I needed to be there for them. Now my husband has pancreatic cancer. Not only have i lost another job, we lost our home, filed bankruptcy and right now at this very moment my husband is in ICU at the hospital. I doubt that “things will turn around”…i’m losing all confidence I ever had and have been turned down for so many jobs (even one delivering food at the hospital)…I am totally at my wits end. My husband; my mother; I am their caregiver and who can survive on $275 a week. Frankly, we don’t know where our next meal will come from. I’m beginning to doubt everything i ever believed in and am at the total bottom of my entire life. So many people have prayed for the unemployed and that is wonderful. I am totally totally exhausted and lost.

May God grant you peace, joy, and perseverence in the midst of your current trials. I empathize with you. I was my grandfather’s caregiver for 5 years and he just passed away few months ago. Even though it was rough at times, I do not regret one minute of my decision to forget about myself and give my time to caring for him. Now I am having a hard time finding a job because there is no “job history” for 5 yrs according to many. I had just graduated with my bachelors degree when I became my grandfather’s caregiver. Even though I am only 28 yrs old (sometimes I feel so old), there are mornings I awake with despair thinking I will be in long term unemployment for yrs to come. However, I immediately turn to the crucifix and start praying “Jesus I trust in you”, and then I get filled with peace, a grace that its beyond understanding. Hang in there. I will be praying for you, your husband, and your mother. I don’t know what state you’re in, but are you receiving social services. Here in California there are many services for caregivers.

God bless you and your family

Joe is in ICU? He has a turn for the worse? Lord have mercy.
Diane I pray there will be an ovehaul of the welfare system in the United States so that there are better allowances for caregivers as for three of you that is a paltry amount and I can’t see how you can survive on it for rent, let alone anything else. With all the added stresses you seemed to be crushed by crosses.
Lord please have mercy on Diane’s and this family’s needs.

"You have plunged me to the bottom of the Pit, to its darkest, deepest place, weighed down by your anger, drowned by Your waves…But I am here calling for Your help, praying to You every morning: why do You reject me? Why do You hide Your face from me? …Now I am exhausted.” [Psalm 88:6-7, 13-15]

I ask the Lord to have mercy on you in these financial problems. Lord to whom will people turn in these awful current economic times? So may are pushed to their limits. I know this world is riddled by sin, but please have mercy on your people who suffer and struggle with so much anxiety and difficulty. Please have mercy on this innocent family. Please help them to have income sufficient to their needs

Please give this wonderful young person cause for hope and celebration in finding work

Thank you to all of you who are praying for us who are unemployed. I will be praying for all the others, also.

I had the perfect job, at long last, and planned on retiring from there in some 20 years. However, it is an old fashioned job, much like being a buggy whip maker, and one of the first jobs to fall to the tightened economy. So, as the last hired, I was let go on January 7th.

I am having a little trouble finding another job that would use the same skills. And being in my 50s doesn’t help, because I am now too old to do some of the entry-level jobs of my youth.

I am praying novenas each night for all of us. I keep my trust in God, because if I don’t, all will be lost. Remember: Nothing is impossible with God.

Bless all of you,
Peggy

Peggy;

You are in my most heartfelt prayers. I pray that God’s invisible hand will hold you firm, even when there is no visible means of support in these difficult days. And I pray that, quickly! you will find useful, satisfying work in which the thing you love most to do meets the needs of people who are willing to pay you a decent, living wage for it.

Still praying for great improvment in your situation, Diane. Will keep on praying.
