For my alcoholic Irish Uncle, Gerard M

I have an Uncle who is an alcoholic, he lives in Ireland; I really love him. His name is Gerard M and is 61 years old. He was married for 30 years, but divorced his lovely wife. He used to go to daily mass for 30 years, but has since completely fallen away from Catholicism since his divorce and his mother’s death. He was sober before for 29 years without any alcohol. He is my favorite uncle, he is very loving when sober and he really is a great guy. He is one of the funniest guys you would ever meet, but when he gets drunk it is like he becomes possessed, he gets insanely drunk. He has been sober many times over the last ten years, but always ends up getting very drunk, he also smokes marijuana daily. When he gets drunk he does strange things and gets in trouble with the law and fights with his brothers and sisters. He was a very successful business man with like 70-100 employees for like 30 years, now he has barely enough to make it. Please pray for his re-conversion to the Catholic faith, that he go to confession soon and that he also go to daily mass again and get sober. His best friend used to be ironically be the priest, they played golf twice a week together. Please pray for my uncle Gerard M., he is really suffering and needs a re-conversion. Alcoholism is definitely a generational demon in my family. In Christo per Mariam, Michael.

the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (Gerard M). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Gerard M’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
