Hail Mary, full of grace the Lord is with thee
Blessed art thou amongst women
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus

Holy Mary, Mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our deaths

Amen

Pete,

You are give me courage and are a source of inspiration to everyone who reads yours and Rachel’s story. You put one foot in front of the other each day and leave the rest to God. We, the body of Christ, are praying for and with you. May God reward you for your great faith!

Dear Lord
please continue to heal Your daughter Rachel.
Please bring comfort to the parents and family who are worried
The family love You so very much and trust in You.
Glory be to The Father
and to The Son
and to The Holy Spirit
as it was in the begining
is now and ever shall be
world without end
Amen

Pete, I just found this thread, and I want you to know that I’m praying for all of you right now.
Same here Pete.

A prayer from another forum member that I thought would help.

“EVERY DAY I NEED YOU LORD”
Every day I need you Lord
But this day especially,
I need some extra strength
To face whatever is to be.
This day more than any day
I need to feel you near,
To fortify my courage
And to overcome my fear.
By myself, I cannot meet
The challenge of the hour,
There are times when humans help,
But we need a higher power
To assist us to bear what must be borne,
and so dear Lord, I pray,
Hold on to my trembling hand
And be near me today.

Amen.

I just got back from this weeks stay with Rachel. When I got there Sunday she was in surgery AGAIN. This time her shunt, ( the tube that takes the excess fluid off of her brain), went bad. The doctors had to externalize it and we have to wait until they are sure it wasn’t infected. Hopefully, they will get it back in early next week. One good thing, I got to go to Mass every day. I’ll keep you all posted.
Just saw this post- Rachel and all of your family are in my prayers. God bless you all.

Pete praying for Rachel and God’s protection over her. Father strengthen her and her family in Jesus Name I pray. Amen

I’m on my way back to St. Louis today to stay with Rachel for the week. A little scare yesterday morning as my wife told me that her spinal fluid had a pink tinge to it. It had cleared up by last night. God bless you all for your prayers and thank you. 🙂

As you go, my prayers for you, Rachel and the family continue.

Still praying Pete, and asking others to pray too. May the Lord keep you strong through all this. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Lord please protect your sweet Rachel and comfort her family.

Dear Lord

For Rachel, and for you her parents

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen

Heavenly Father, I pray for Your healing hand to restore Rachel’s health Lord. Provide her and her family with strength beyond strength and peace through this storm, in the knowledge of Your presence. Father we love you and thank you for the gift of life and we thank you for creating Rachel. May your Name be blessed in her.
In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

Well, Rachel had her shunt internalized yesterday. We were quite upset because we were told it would be a two to three hour procedure. She wen’t to surgery at about 1 PM and finally came out at 8:30. To be fair, there was an unscheduled CT scan involved, but all the time she was there we were never told how the operation was proceeding. This upset my wife terribly. Thank God Rachel seems to be doing OK, but we’ve been at this point before only to have a setback so please keep the prayers coming and hopefully we can bring her home this weekend.

He is with you in the center of your storm and He says: “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby” Jn11:4

Thank God she is doing better, the prayers will continue. How sad that they couldn’t have told you more while it was going on though. What a horrible cross that must have been to bear, but I am sure your prayers for her, and just her in general during that time, were your main concern. God bless you all.
