Jesus, the Divine Physician, watch over Rachel and her family.
Same here Pete.Pete, I just found this thread, and I want you to know that I’m praying for all of you right now.
Just saw this post- Rachel and all of your family are in my prayers. God bless you all.I just got back from this weeks stay with Rachel. When I got there Sunday she was in surgery AGAIN. This time her shunt, ( the tube that takes the excess fluid off of her brain), went bad. The doctors had to externalize it and we have to wait until they are sure it wasn’t infected. Hopefully, they will get it back in early next week. One good thing, I got to go to Mass every day. I’ll keep you all posted.

Still praying Pete, and asking others to pray too. May the Lord keep you strong through all this. In Jesus Name, Amen.I’m on my way back to St. Louis today to stay with Rachel for the week. A little scare yesterday morning as my wife told me that her spinal fluid had a pink tinge to it. It had cleared up by last night. God bless you all for your prayers and thank you.![]()
Thank God she is doing better, the prayers will continue. How sad that they couldn’t have told you more while it was going on though. What a horrible cross that must have been to bear, but I am sure your prayers for her, and just her in general during that time, were your main concern. God bless you all.Well, Rachel had her shunt internalized yesterday. We were quite upset because we were told it would be a two to three hour procedure. She wen’t to surgery at about 1 PM and finally came out at 8:30. To be fair, there was an unscheduled CT scan involved, but all the time she was there we were never told how the operation was proceeding. This upset my wife terribly. Thank God Rachel seems to be doing OK, but we’ve been at this point before only to have a setback so please keep the prayers coming and hopefully we can bring her home this weekend.
