Continuing to keep her in prayer…Trying to revive this thread b/c I just learned that there is now also an issue with her lungs. She had surgery this past week to biopsy a couple of the spots on her lungs. Now awaiting results.

I just got an update from Marlee’s parents. She actually has stage IV cancer in her hip and her lungs. It is a very rare, very slow growing cancer - good, I guess, that it is slow growing - she could “live as long as ten years” per the doctor.Please pray for my friend, Marlee, who has a growth on her left hip bone and will find out soon whether or not it is cancerous. She is a college student who recently withdrew from school to take care of this matter. She is currently walking with a cane, and it breaks my heart to know of someone so young being worried with such things.
Please pray that whatever this is is quickly “fixable” and she can go back to being a “college kid” !!

They are doing surgery to remove the tumor from her hip and repair the bone, then they will turn their attention to her lungs.

Merciful Lord, You love Marlee with an unfathomable and eternal love. For the perfection of her soul, You have allowed her an affliction that has become her cross to bear. As she has borne up under this burden with Your assistance, we pray that You will not abandon her in her time of need. Graciously breathe Your Holy Spirit upon her, bringing her Heavenly Graces and restoring her hope. Remind her, O Lord, that she lives for the next life rather than for this one. Strengthen her to remain faithful and grant her an increase in love of You - a reflection of Your immense love of her. Bless her doctors, nurses and technicians with a deep caring and compassion, that they may see themselves in her suffering. Incline Your ear to hear the intercession of Your Risen Son, Who sits at Your Right Hand. May our prayers be joined with those of the Angels and Saints to form a seamless plea for her life and the restoration of her health. We ask this through the same Jesus Christ, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!
