For our cat Mordin Please Pray

Heavenly Father,
Please help us in our time of need,
You have made us stewards of (Mordin).
If it is Your will, please restore him
to health and strength.
I pray too for other animals in need.
May they be treated with the care and respect
deserving of all Your creation.
Blessed are You Lord God,
and holy is Your name for ever and ever

Thankyou so very much to you all for each and every single one of your prayers and comments. I can’t tell you how much that means to us. Mordin has perked up. He still has 11 days of 2 x antibiotics and the twice daily hibiscrub until Friday/ Saturday. But most importantly, despite having to wear the cone, he is a lot more himself. He is eating and drinking a good amount, and even tried to break into the cat treat tin early morning!
Thanks be to God, and thankyou so much for all you prayers, they have so definitely worked. Please continue to pray he will be completely healed to his good health.

I honestly can’t thankyou you all enough. xxxx

Heavenly Father, our human ties with our friends of other species are wonderful and special gifts from You. We now ask You to grant our special animal companions your Fatherly care and healing power to take away any suffering they have. Give us, their human friends, new understanding of our responsibilities to these creatures of Yours. They have trust in us as we have in You; our souls and theirs are on this earth together to give one another friendship, affection, and caring. Take our heartfelt prayers and fill Your ill or suffering animals with healing Light and strength to overcome whatever weakness of body they have: that Mordin the cat makes a quick recovery from his leg infection and sprain.

Your goodness is turned upon every living thing and Your grace flows to all Your creatures. From our souls to theirs goodness flows, touching each of us with the reflection of Your love. Grant to our special animal companions long and healthy lives. Give them good relationships with us, and if You see fit to take them from us, help us to understand that they are not gone from us, but only drawing closer to You. Grant our prayer through the intercession of good St. Gertrude of Nivelles, who honored You through all Your creatures. Give her the power to watch over our animal friends until they are safely with You in eternity, where we someday hope to join them in giving You honor forever. Amen.
 
Lord, we give you glory for Mordin’s improved condition. And we thank you for the beloved pets you entrust to us.

I just want to say thankyou so much for all of your prayers. Prayers were answered - thanks be to God. Mordin is so much better, head collar off now and nearing the last of the anti b med. He is back to his happy self and I am so grateful to you all. God bless you xxx

Lord,

You created the birds of the air and beasts of the field… the fish in the waters and all living things.

When Man was in the Garden, alone, You brought them to Adam one by one in the hope of finding a suitable mate/companion. While the mate for Adam was fashioned from his own rib… You nonetheless gave Man dominion and stewardship over the animals. You deemed that the animals be companions (friends) of man and they lived in the Garden of Eden alongside man as companions and helpers.

Help us to see through our pets, O Lord, that the unconditional love that they have for us is a reflection of the love that You also have for us, and teach us through them how to love unconditionally in return.

Protect them, O Lord, and keep us ever mindful of our duty to care for them, to treat them with the dignity that You have given them, and to be good stewards of all of Your creation on earth. Heal them, Lord, when they become sick if it be Your Will and while only You know what becomes of them once they leave this world-- keep them always in Your loving heart.

We ask this in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit-- Amen!

St. Francis, pray for us.
St. Gertrude, pray for us.
