O Lord, Holy Father, omnipotent and eternal God, I give You thanks and I bless Your holy name. I know I’m a poor miserable sinner but hear a cause that is just, pay heed to my cry, turn your ear to my prayer, no deceit is on my lips. Amen

For your intentions

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Lord Jesus, hear our prayers. Amen

Merciful Lord, we ask that You continue to bless our sister in Christ, providing for her all that she requires in this life, as well as in the next. May she grow in faith and perseverance until she receives her eternal consolation, and basks in the warmth of Your presence. We ask this through Christ, our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!

Lord, we beseech You to hear our prayers and come to the aid of spiritualunity, who suffers and is in need of Heavenly graces. In Your mercy, combine our prayers into one, united call for spiritual and physical assistance on her behalf. Father, You hear the cry of the poor and suffering. We turn to you as our hope in this time of her testing. We know not how You choose to answer us, but we know that Your promises are trustworthy. Graciously arrange the events of her life so that she receives the relief and assistance that she has been praying for. Grant this through the perfect intercession of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Your only Son, Who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Alleluia!

My only update is that Spiritualunity could still really use our prayers … Not a whole lot has changed. I want to again thank everyone for the kindness of your prayers. I am in turn praying for you, and I will let Spiritualunity know that you are praying for her.

Today is the Feast Day of St. Bruno, Founder of the Carthusian Order, whose charism is Silence and Solitude.

Dear St. Bruno,

Spiritualunity is a member of the Carthusian Spirituality group here at CAF. Please look down on her as your own spiritual child and bless her through the intercession of your prayers.

Praying through Bible verses from today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Mid-morning reading (Terce) Jeremiah 22:3 ©
Practise honesty and integrity; rescue the man who has been wronged from the hands of his oppressor; do not exploit the stranger, the orphan, the widow; do no violence; shed no innocent blood in this place.
Noon reading (Sext) Deuteronomy 15:7-8 ©
Is there a poor man among you, one of your brothers, in any town of yours in the land that the Lord your God is giving you? Do not harden your heart or close your hand against that poor brother of yours, but be open-handed with him and lend him enough for his needs.
Afternoon reading (None) Proverbs 22:22-23 ©
Because a man is poor, do not therefore cheat him, nor, at the city gate, oppress anybody in affliction; for the Lord takes up their cause, and extorts the life of their extortioners.

I continue my prayers for Spiritualunity. May God help her and bless her tenderly.

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Prayers and Intercessions

Christ feeds and cares for the Church, for which he gave his very self. And so we pray:
– Lord, look after your Church.

Blessed are you, shepherd of your Church, because today you give us light and life:
make us truly grateful for such wonderful gifts.
– Lord, look after your Church.

Look kindly on the flock you have gathered in your name:
let no-one perish from the flock your Father has given you.
– Lord, look after your Church.

Lead your Church along the path of your commandments:
may the Holy Spirit keep her faithful to you.
– Lord, look after your Church.

By the feast of bread and the Word, give life to your Church:
nourish her and give her the strength to follow you with joy.
– Lord, look after your Church.
Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Lord, we ask you to fill our minds with your grace.
The Angel brought the news of the incarnation of Christ your Son.
By the intercession of the blessed Virgin Mary
may his passion and death bring us to the glory of the resurrection.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever.
Amen

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
That never was it known
that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help,
or sought thy intercession,
was left unaided,
Inspired by this confidence
I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To thee do I come,
before thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Mary, please watch over Spiritualunity, help her through her struggles and may your son comfort her in her time of need and deliver her from her tribulations.

Amen
