The road is rocky … I prefer to post updates when I have more of a glimmer of something promising happening, but wanted you all to know that as always, I place all your names on a list and take it to the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel to remember you there in prayer. There are now many names on the list!

Another birthday surprise that was pretty nice … A friend I hadn’t heard from in months called out of the blue just to say hello.

Another thing that happened today was that someone from the local tv station wants to use one of my photos in their weather calendar, they want me to submit it for consideration anyway … Likely it will be one of these deals where I get accreditation or public recognition as the photographer and most likely a free copy of the calendar. Meanwhile, the tv station will then proceed to rake in tons of money by selling the calendar on their website or other promotions. So far, it seems that my new role as “starving artist” is going well, anyways. :o

You have to turned this over to the Lord, He has not led you out of your last job to abandon you. A door will open and Jesus will take your hand and say, “This way.” When that happens no one knows, but it will. In the mean time do the best you can, because it all has meaning.

Faith is beleiving in something, when there is NO evidence around you that it will ever happen.
 
Pheonix, you are in my prayers. I know how difficult this must be for you. I pray that the Holy Spirit moves you in the right direction. May you be forever in Jesus loving hands. I know He loves you very, very much.

I could use and would be most grateful for your continued prayers, just now having submitted writing samples to a company that requires them before they make a decision on whether to grant an interview. I feel I would be an excellent match for the position, as it involves both technical writing and foreign languages. I’ve heard that the interview process at this particular company can be really challenging, especially in today’s competitive job market.

Meanwhile, I have been unemployed going on two months now.

Thank you for any help. It seems that finding work will take a miracle.

Some time ago I added Frogjim and BamaRider to my prayer list … and I also continue to remember everyone in prayer who has participated in this thread.

I agree with you Donna. She will be rewarded, one way or another for her faith. It’s not easy to stand up for something like abortion. But God will recognize your faithfulness. 👍

I decided on this course of action after consulting with a lawyer and supportive family members and friends. Which basically means that as of right now, I am unemployed and earning no income.

Wanting to move on, I have been fortunate enough to land a job interview for a temporary contract position. However, I definitely will need the help of prayer.

Am not sure what is the best way to handle interview questions regarding reasons for leaving my last job.

I am also working to market my landscape and nature photography, having samples of my work professionally framed in order to show potential customers. Also, I may have someone who contacted me over the internet interested in purchasing several photos in order that this person use my photos as an inspirational basis to produce paintings.

Please pray that the Holy Spirit will guide me and teach me what to say in my upcoming job interview(s) so as to lead me to employment in the right job, and also that I may have success in selling my photography in accordance with God’s Will.

Please look kindly upon Phoenix’s willingness to stand-up for what she knows is right. She knows this because Your Son’s Church has revealed this truth plainly to her. Please bless her abundantly because of this!

During this difficult time for her, use this as an opportunity for her to grow even stronger in Your Love by having enough faith to fully trust You! It is in these dry times when the roots of plants grow deep in search of water, please help her spiritual roots grow deeper at this time and give her the confidence to know that You will provide and when You pull her out of this situation her roots will be deeper and stronger than ever. Help her to see that she will be left with hope that her faith is firmly rooted in love…Your Love!

Jesus,
You were the best when it came to interacting with people. Please help Phoenix to be gifted with what came so natural to You so she can present herself confidently in job interviews and to never be afraid to stand for love of You before anything else so that she will never compromise her beliefs for any reason.

Holy Spirit,
Please fill her and her family with Your Love. Help them to continue to be supportive and inspire them to pray more for her and each other. Please also fill the hearts of the people from her previous job in hopes that her standing for Pro-Life will be a seed planted in them to change their perspective on life and the dignity of all human life!

Please, with the perfect prayers of Jesus, help her in her job interviewing to be comfortable and confident and please help her in her photography endeavors that people may see beauty in they way she captures it!

O Holy Spirit, together with the Father and Son you are mankind’s perfect image of family and love. Reveal this love in a more prevalent way to the world so more people will stand for their beliefs as Phoenix has!

I ask all of the Heavenly Court to join us in prayer.

Update:

I received a last minute invitation to a job interview tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. in the morning at a small company. I think I would very much like this kind of atmosphere.

Please pray that I will soon find employment … either at this company, or at another, in accordance with God’s will.

I would be tremendously grateful for any prayers on my behalf both for a job and for the strength to endure meanwhile.

Thanks to all who have already been praying for me, most recently tGette and Gail OCDS. Be assured that you are all in my prayers as well.

God must be working somewhere to create that position where you can contribute as amazingly as you do on this website for the benefit of so very many. Phoenix, I will start a Novena to St. Joseph the worker for his intercession for your intentions. You have always been there for everyone and please know we all lift you up in prayer. Things are looking a bit more hopeful now, but the details are so much up in the air that I would rather wait until I figure out what’s happening before I can even attempt a halfway decent update.
