Hail Mary, full of grace,
The Lord is with Thee;
Blessed art thou among women,
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of our death. Amen…

Our Father,
who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hello,
I made an account just for you, because your story broke my heart. I am so sorry for all the pain and suffering you’ve been through. I will pray for you and continue to pray for you.
I know something that will help you feel peace and I really, really hope that you can do this: find a church with Eucharistic Adoration (google a place near where you live) and go there to spend time with Jesus, who is truly present in the Blessed Sacrament.
There is nothing that is really required of you to do in Adoration - you can just sit/kneel there (for as long as you like) before Jesus. Speak to Him in your mind, tell Him about your suffering, pray to Him, ask Him to heal you. Jesus loves us so much and wants nothing more than for us to visit Him.
I have arrived at Adoration stressed, angry, burdened or sad only to have to all washed away when I knelt before Jesus. There is a peace there that is indescribable, insurmountable. I have also felt Jesus’ love for me like never before when at Adoration. I have heard so many testimonies of people’s lives being changed dramatically because of regular visits to the Blessed Sacrament. Please take my advice and visit a church with Adoration!
I am thinking about you and praying for you.
Love, a little sister

Thank you! Your prayer really touched my heart. I had never heard of St. Dymphna before. I also did not know that Our Mother had the title of “Our Lady of Mental Peace”.

I want to continue trusting in Our Savior and beating down His holy door.

I am feeling well today, and I can feel peace inside my mind today.

God bless you.

Eternal Father,

For the sake of Jesus sorrowful passion, have mercy on fericire. Amen

I wanted to answer every one of you separately, but I don’t want to flood the forum.

Thank you so much for praying for me. I am indeed feeling better today. I am feeling a soothing peace in my mind.

I will follow all of your advice.

I do declare, though, that a small part of me is sceptic. But I want to – and I will – have faith. 🙂

I really liked this quote. I will save this in my computer. Thank you, sister.

What I would suggest is to pray for your father and forgive him, even though what he’s doing to you and the family is wrong. Keep trying to get on your own and realize that things can get better. Please hang in there.
I too feel like I should forgive him, but I’m afraid that I don’t know what forgiveness is. Nevertheless, I really should pray more. Thank you.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

You’re welcome. Here is a past CAF thread that contains the full “Our Lady of Mental Peace” prayer and some background on the prayer and how it was written.

Our Lady of Mental Peace Spirituality
Is the prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace a legitimate Catholic prayer? Is this even a legitimate title for Our Lady? I can’t seem to find any information about the origin of the prayer, and had never heard of this title for Mary prior to seeing it today. I will post the prayer below. Any thoughts, or information about it’s origin would be appreciated! O Lady of Mental Peace, Mother of Tranquility and Mother of Hope, look upon me in this time of disquiet and weakness. Still my restless sp…
