Eternal Rest Grant Christopher O Lord.
May perpetual Light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace.
Amen.

Maggie, I will keep you, Christopher and your entire family in my prayers.

Sending you love in Christ,

Maggie & Christopher,
Code:
I was with you in spirit during the hour of the funeral.

Jesus, I trust in you.

Touching poem Maggie. You are such a strong woman. I will continue to pray for him, your daughter, you and the family.

And for his friends - who may very well need them most, for you are already grounded in Christ. They may need assistance.

God, pease watch over this family. Give them strength at this time.

It’s been a very long day, but all your prayers got us through. God gave me great strength and compassion. I spent an hour holding Chris’s friend and room mate Phil while he cried and cried that he wanted to die to. He kept saying it was his fault for not taking Chris serious and leaving him alone. Such a broken hearted young man. I assured him that he has a life to live and he was not to blame for Chris’s decision.

I told him you were all praying for him and it really seemed to help him. Like most young people, he hasn’t been in a church since he left home. Now he wants to come to my church and learn about God…or so he says. Poor child is one hurting unit.

Thank you for helping us all through this day.

Being the feast day of the holy angels, on this day, may you Maggie, your daughter and the family and friends…Christopher…be surrounded by the warm nugs of all the angels as they watch over you and yours. And for our dear Christopher:

Christopher’s Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come in Christopher, Thy Will be done in Christopher on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give Christopher this day his daily bread and forgive Christopher his trespasses as he has forgiven those who have trespassed against him. Lead him not into temptation but deliver Christopher from the evil one. Amen.:gopray:

Absolve, we beseech Thee, O Lord,
the soul of Thy servant Christopher,
from every bond of sin,
that being raised in the glory of the resurrection,
he may be refreshed among the Saints and Elect.
Through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

God is good all the time. It gave all of us great comfort to know he called me to prayer for Chris even though he was miles away downtown when it happened.

He gave more gifts yesterday. The funeral was at 2:00. It stormed the whole time we were inside…thunder lightening to begin with, everyone was getting drenched coming into the chapel. But as soon as the bagpipes began playing “Amazing Grace” the storm calmed and it just became rain.

During the service, the minister (Chris wasn’t Catholic) told many stories…one of them about my Christopher and a particular visit at my house when he and his sisters were little. It was a rainy day and the kids could not go out and play, so I told them the story of the rainbow and God’s promises that he would never again flood the earth etc. Chris wanted to know if God was in the rainbow and if he was the one who painted pictures in the clouds. LOL! I assured him that yes, God loved to paint and draw.

Christopher and the girls then began drawing pictures to pass the rainy afternoon. Chris threw a fit as only a five year old can when he is hatching a plot and wants his own way. He had to have all the rainbow colored crayons for his drawing. Since it was important to him, the girls and I baked cookies instead and Chris got all the crayons.

When he finished, he had drawn a picture of Jesus as a Rainbow, and as we assured him how lovely it was, a rainbow formed in the sky. Yesterday, as the service finished…we came out of the service to a magnificent Rainbow once more, I like to think God painted it especially for Christopher and for us.

That’s beautiful, Maggie. Don’t you love God’s sense of timing and symbolism? Still praying for you and your family.

Christopher is still remembered at daily mass.

Every time you see a rainbow from now on it will be a kiss from Christopher.:heaven: :grouphug:

May God continue to bless you and your family as necessary right now. May perpetual light shine upon Christopher.

Amen.

Still praying and thinking of you Maggie. My nephew committed suicide 10 years ago. It is still devastating for his mother. None of us saw it coming, it was out of the blue. May God help you through this trying time.

:blessyou:
