Please pray for a good outcome in the Western Australian state election today, that worker’s rights will always be protected, but also that the Same-Sex Marriage lobby will not get it’s way in this country.

St. Thomas More, pray for politics and elections throughout the world. Amen.

Thanks for the reminder. Your politics has been in the news recently, but I didn’t realize there’s a state election today.

Will be praying earnestly for the outcome.

:gopray2:

Dear Lord, be with the voters and politicians of WA today, as they set the course for the next pariliament. Please protect the vulnerable, and my your will be done.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen

G’day, neighbour!

Praying for your intention. 🙂

It’s probably too late, but I just read this. I pray for the intervention of St. Joseph the Worker. I pray to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. It’s pretty scary the way the world is headed these days, apparently even in countries other than my own, where I always assumed workers’ rights were sacrosanct. Only God can help us. MARANATHA!:gopray2:

Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Prayer To Our Lady, Help Of Christians
Patron Saint of Australia

Most Holy Virgin Mary, Help of Christian,
how sweet it is to come to your feet
imploring your perpetual help.
If earthly mothers cease not to remember their children,
how can you, the most loving of all mothers forget me?
Grant then to me, I implore you,
your perpetual help in all my necessities,
in every sorrow, and especially in all my temptations.
I ask for your unceasing help for all who are now suffering.
Help the weak, cure the sick, convert sinners.
Grant through your intercessions many vocations to the religious life.
Obtain for us, O Mary, Help of Christians,
that having invoked you on earth we may love and eternally thank you in heaven.
Amen.

You’ve gotta be kidding mate. Archbishop Mannix and that idiot Santa Maria are long gone.

It’s this kind of rubbish that brings both the right wing of the ALP and the Catholic Church into disrepute.

Are you happy with the result
It really isn’t a question of whether I’m personally happy with the result, but rather the question of what degree Catholic Social Teaching (which is based upon Biblical principles) is upheld. I respect the fact that we can’t have all the elements of Catholic Social Teaching upheld at once (just the nature of the “dark art of politics”…), but we must try to have as many as possible with God’s help.

ErrolFlynn, Archbishop Mannix and Bob Santa Maria are long gone, yes, but they at least taught the basic principles of scripture, which is simply what Christ told us to do, no more, no less.
