Don, I’ve been thinking of you. if I even found a girl who wanted an abortion, and offered to adopt her child…what do you think the chances are that she’d take me up on it? If I walked up to a girl about to enter an abortion clinic, asked her to reconsider the abortion, asked her to consider giving the ultimate gift (of life) to her child, and told her I would love to adopt her child…what do you think the chances are that she’d go for it? Even if I were to get lucky and find someone to take me up on the offer, what would they want in return? If 20 people walked up to an abortion clinic and make the same offer to 20 pregnant women…how many do you suppose would take up the offer? They get free prenatal care, and free delivery, so it’s not like they can’t afford to actually carry and have the baby. They don’t need help paying for the cost of prenatal healthcare or for delivery. What I’m saying is, I’m sure I’m not alone when I say, I’d love to save one of those kids from abortion. I’m sure I’m not alone when I say that I’d love to take two children and save them from abortion. But I doubt we would be taken up on our offer. So…I don’t think it’s a matter of anti-abortion people putting their money where their mouth is…people are desperate to adopt children in danger of abortion.… are you yourself willing to adopt the unwanted babies and convince your friends to adopt them as well?
This is an interest of mine, as it seems that it is Republicans who want the government to ban abortion also do not like the government paying for social welfare (which Democrats support).
