What about the couple where he died early, she remarried a man who was a widower. Later she dies and 2x widowed man marries again to a woman who was widowed. Are then going to have a big complex glob of spouses?

No. Because there is no marriage in heaven. But I do think those spouses will each retain a special relationship with the others.

I brought up something similar but not identical with a priest once. His answer was that in heaven, we will be a new creation. Not exactly something I can hang my hat on, but an interesting thought. Heaven is our relationship with the infinite, we will live on His time and we will love like He does. Exactly how, don’t know. But there will no such thing as possessiveness or jealousy and love will be complete.

I have a few other thoughts but I would possibly be burned at the stake if I expressed them.

Why are we asking what Heaven will be like? All we need to know is that our every desire will be fulfilled in God. We will experience as much love as our finite selves are capable of experiencing. There will be no sadness or suffering, only joy and love. So who cares about the rest? We will be changed so much that nothing we ask now will even matter. I know this because I am a convert; all that junk that was soooo important to me as an atheist stopped mattering the slightest bit not long after my conversion. It will be the same in Heaven.

All this, of course, assumes that we will go there. The Doctors of the Church unanimously teach that when Jesus said “few are saved,” He really did mean a minority of people. More than one saint has described souls falling into Hell like snowflakes. We need to stop distracting ourselves with the details of Heaven and focus on getting there. Some seem to want to go to Heaven only in the condition that they can have thing X there
