Thought someone might get something out of this.
I don’t think that’s what he’s saying. Unless I’ve misread, his nausea seems to come from those conservatives who are willing to say that Mr. Floyd’s killing is somehow the result of collective white guilt, or the nation’s “fatal wound” of racism.I’m a conservative. I am appalled at the way the four officers treated George Floyd. If this makes you (or this author) nauseaous, then that’s your problem.
I think what @JonNC wrote was more to the point, and more concise as well!I still find this piece goofy
Exactly. Thanks for summarizing.I don’t think that’s what he’s saying. Unless I’ve misread, his nausea seems to come from those conservatives who are willing to say that Mr. Floyd’s killing is somehow the result of collective white guilt, or the nation’s “fatal wound” of racism…
Well, you misunderstand his remarks. The general identified going to the church as a political act and the armed forces eschew involvement in politics. He said: “My presence in that moment and in that environment created a perception of the military involved in domestic politics.”I am disappointed with so many people caving to the militant left and apologizing for things that they shouldn’t. Latest example is the Joint Chiefs Chairman now saying he shouldn’t have taken a picture with the President in Lafayette Park.
Yes, if he believes the sorrow is phony.Liberal author becomes nauseated at conservative sorrow.
Does any of this make sense to you?
And he is wrong. The general identified going to the church as a political act and the armed forces eschew involvement in politics. He said: “My presence in that moment and in that environment created a perception of the military involved in domestic politics.”
Then a four star general and the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff is just a leftist tool out to embarrass the president, I presume? Your post is highly unlikely. What created that perception is the biased media.
? Are you replying to me?I respect the General and don’t need to have his words mis-interpreted. Finally some in that dreadful administration are growing backbones.
Nope, not sure where you got that from. Do you work for CNN?Then a four star general and the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff is just a leftist tool out to embarrass the president, I presume?
