Former Burlington Bishop Remembered for His Kindness and Humor

Former Roman Catholic Bishop of Burlington Kenneth Angell was remembered at his funeral as kind, generous, and humorous.

Several hundred people attended the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Co-Cathedral in Burlington, including Metropolitan Archbishop of Boston Cardinal Sean O’Malley, visiting bishops and priests, and priests from the statewide Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington.

Angell, who led the statewide Roman Catholic diocese for 13 years as the eighth bishop of Burlington, died of a stroke October. 4. He was 86. Read more…
