For all who left, this site would probably be helpful, to find out where
God wanted you with your particular charism. Its never to late to find out now and to return.
siena.org/AboutUs.htm

This page explains the differenc charisms (spiritual gifts.)
siena.org/spgifts.htm#fruitgiftcharism

It says this on there website:
The Catherine of Siena Institute offers workshops to help lay Catholics discern their
spiritual gifts, their call from God, and their vocations.
Perhaps you missed this post cheese, it might be worth your time to read it.👍

…well, there is a HUGE difference in submitting to Jesus and submitting to Satan and all his works…
Like said, in your worldview, this is logical. 🙂
Perhaps you could have been a great St. like Padre Pio
I am quite familiar with him. I’ll settle for being a good husband and father. Both of which I need work on. 🙂

I looked over them. Unfortunately, the Church does not offer much in the way of understanding for experiences like mine. When a person can walk into a room and tell that it is full of stagnant energies, or that there is another presence in the room that is neither good nor evil, or that an object has a density of energy about it that is disconcerting, those things are not accepted by the Roman Church.

I did talk to one priest, about 6-8 years ago, who was able to offer some perspective, but his advice was not nearly “orthodox” in most senses. However, he did offer a helpful worldview to integrate my experiences (one I still hold today).

If I repeated the conversation we had, however, you would probably brand him with the label “New Age”.

Like it or not, Eastern religious thought does offer those of us who are experiencing some strange things, a coherent worldview and system to integrate our experiences. Until the Catholic church can take what is good from those systems, it will continue to lose good people.

We’re all called to be Saints, no matter what our vocation in life is.

But, I’ve already read your posting after this one and clearly, asking one Priest and finding out all that the Church teaches on this is two different things. I will leave you now, and I know that you will continue to believe that what you are doing is “good” in spite of the fact that the Church teaches it is evil. Perhaps one day you will come to know the Truth. Bye now.

I left the Catholic Church at the age of 38. There were simply too many Catholic teachings that were not consistent with scripture. I could not continue to be part of the Catholic Church when I did not believe all that it teaches.
Hi Priscilla Anne

I’m not trying to convert you or anything; you have to make up your own mind; but you might want to look at this;

blackieschurchmilitant-apocalypsis.blogspot.com/2007/06/i-find-no-sacraments-in-bible-he-said.html

The Church believes that ‘Sola Scriptura’ is a defective attitude to Christianity because so much was handed down verbally and the books in the Bible can only give a partial view of what is required in The Church; partly because they were written so long after Christ; but there is evidence for The Sacraments there.

Where did I say that talking to one priest was all I did? 😉 Thanks for the conversation, though. You have reminded me of a great deal of things and helped to clarify my thought in these matters.

I left at the age of 42 because of verbal abuse by a number of Catholic priests. Also the arrogance of Catholic apologist on EWTN radio telling Catholics to snub non catholics. " “Give to the poor be pro life but look down your nose at the lutheran next door”
I believe ALL human life is valuable evan us non or former catholics.
how right you are.
