Former Archbishop Daniel M. Buechlein dies at St. Meinrad

A staunch opponent of the death penalty, Buechlein was among the most vocal voices calling for government to halt the execution of Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh.

McVeigh was a baptised and confirmed Catholic.

It doesn’t matter if McVeigh was a Catholic or a Satan worshipper or an atheist. If you’re against the death penalty, you need to be against it for everybody.
