He was my husband’s favorite President. I hope the two of them get to shake hands in the hereafter.

He was a very “understated” President. I believe he was the end of an era where even opposing sides could find the common ground of friendship. I pray we can get back to that soon.

P.S. If you have any business to do with a Federal office this week, don’t plan on doing it on Wednesday. Federal offices will be closed for the national day of mourning for Pres. Bush, as ordered by Pres. Trump.

Which helped me as well, as it provided a lot of work for construction workers, upgrading the public restrooms and paths of egress in commercial buildings and schools

I feel like he was a pretty decent president, yet one that never completely escaped from Reagan’s shadow.

He got stuck with the early economic consequences of some of Reagan’s policies. That and being a little stiff when bantering with the public is why he didn’t get a second term.

@Tis_Bearself And don’t forget Ross Perot; I think he was a factor too by siphoning off votes from the Republican/conservative/libertarian side.
