Mary did not need to be born without sin for she received forgiveness of sins by the grace of God through faith as the angel pronounced God’s word over her and she responded. There is evidence of being taken into heaven bodily in Scripture so it is possible for Mary to be assumed bodily into heaven. But to have the doctrines and worship that is there goes beyond Scripture.

There is more but I have to go for now.
The doctrines adoration and forms of worship are not “beyond” scripture. They are deeply rooted and embedded in scripture as it pertains to Salvation History. The Church, in her ongoing discernment and guidence by the Holy Spirit uproots these doctrines. The fact that She can do this is apparent in scripture also.

Here lies the beauty of our faith.

Could you give some examples of the deeply rooted and embedded Scriptures?

I know that all generations shall call her blessed but even as a child in catholic grade school it felt weird to shower a statue with flowers and songs of worship. I’m just saying that goes beyond how Scripture teaches new testament worship.

Salvation history is rooted in Jesus and His sacrifice. Old testament worship revolved around physical things, while new testament worship is in Spirit and Truth.

extravagance of the Catholic Church -gold, robes, statues, etc,

The oil was directly used for Jesus’ comfort and refreshing of HIS earthly body. The gold, robes, statues are not.
On the contrary, that is EXACTLY why the Church is in custody of these treasures. They are held on behalf of the faithful, and are used to comfort, refresh, and instruct His earthly Body, the Church. God created us as sensual beings, and His revelation to us has always included the senses. He does not reach out to us apart from our senses.

Many of the items that have been donated to the Church were offerings of the faithful, of their time, talent and treasure, to honor the Lord God. Over the centuries, many exquisite works of art have been donated by artists who wished to honor God with their skills. Why do you judge another man’s servant in this way? Are you able to look into the heart of Michaelangelo, for example, to say that his painting should be sold?
infallibility of Pope.

Many believe that more then the Pope can be infallible when indwelled with the Holy Spirit.
This is true. When individuals are in unity with the successor of Peter, and embrace the Teachings that God has kept infallibly in the Church by His Holy Spirit, they can also benefit from the gift. This gift does not protect those who have departed from the Teachings of the Apostles.
Hated that you were not allowed to question anything and named a heretic if you did,

It was the questioning that was punished the severest by the nuns.
Yes, I thought the nuns at my Catholic school were “hateful and mean” also. Now that I am older, I realize that they were given the impossible job of spiritual formation of children who were not properly catechized at home, and were often taught opposite at home of what the Church teaches (for example, that it is ok to hit someone if you are angry with them). I also realize that some of them did not have proper education in the developmental needs and abilities of children. I think some of them thought of us as small adults, and did not see our questions as part of our developmental process.

This, however, is a shortcoming of the educators, and not a commentary on whether the Church actually believes and teaches the truth. Leaving the Truth because someone hurts my feelings does not seem to be an appropriate solution.

This appears to be one of those “trap” posts. The OP asked for explanations and for charity; so why mock and attack. You should be trying to understand instead of attacking. If former RC’s are here and willing to dialogue, why not keep it positive and give food for thought rather than abuse.
Thanks for saying this, and thanks for participating.
I joined this forum in 2004 when I happened across it and found charismatics being attacked. The anti-charismatic sentiment I have experienced is one of the latest reasons for leaving the RCC.
Can you please say some more about this? I don’t understand why some Catholics not being able to receive the gifts of the Spirit would be a reason for walking away from the Truth. I can only think that you don’t really believe that the Catholic Church is the one founded by Christ, which has nothing to do with the fact that some people are lacking the fullness of the Spirit in their lives.
I have found that the fruit of some of the RCC doctrine dilutes the spiritual work of salvation that Jesus accomplished.
I am very interested in this statement. I read at the bottom of your post that you dont’ have a lot of time right now, but if/when you do, could you say some more about how the doctrine dilutes the work Jesus accomplished? I am confused about this statement.
It is focused on works to receive redemption instead of works flowing from redemption.
This is a very common misunderstanding about the Catholic faith, and I think stems from poor catechesis. Most of the nominal Catholics I know think that we get to heaven by “being good”, and try to live “moral lives”. They don’t seem to have been educated about salvation by grace, through faith.
For example, purgatory as a place to cleanse you before entering heaven. From a carnal perspective this makes sense but it denies the cleansing Blood of Jesus.
No, it only seems that way if a person does not understand the teaching on purgatory. Purgatory is the cleansing by fire spoken of in scripture. It is only available to those who have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus. I am kinda lost on how that is carnal?

Purgatory is not a “place” either, but a state, in which all the works of this life that do not glorify God are burned away from us.
Code:
It shows a lack of understanding of the Eucharist. We only have a right to heaven because we are covered by Jesus and what He did and not by our own efforts or the efforts of others.
You mean the belief that God purifies our souls so that nothing unclean will enter heaven shows a lack of understanding of the Eucharist? I think you lost me there.

The fact that we can contribute to one anothers sanctification is entirely based upon the completed work that Jesus did on the cross. The Catholic Church does not teach that we can save or cleanse ourselves by human effort.
We enter by the Blood, Hebrews 10:19, and in the spirit and not in or by the flesh. The flesh will be made new at the coming of Jesus.
But, to the extent that we suffer in the flesh, this can contribute to our spiritual benefit, as well as other members of the Body.
For by grace you are saved through faith and not of yourself it is the gift of God.
Yes. 👍 It is very Catholic of you to say this.
Mary did not need to be born without sin for she received forgiveness of sins by the grace of God through faith as the angel pronounced God’s word over her and she responded.
I think you are right, but this is the way that God decided to to things. Mary was already full of grace when the angel came. The angel greeted her as “Full of Grace”. This condition was already present when the angel arrived.
There is evidence of being taken into heaven bodily in Scripture so it is possible for Mary to be assumed bodily into heaven. But to have the doctrines and worship that is there goes beyond Scripture.
There are two errors in this statement. One is that worship of any created being is approved. This is a violation of the first commandment. The the other is that the Scripture contains all that is germaine to our faith practice. The Apostles never taught this.
There is more but I have to go for now.
I hope you will soon have time to return with more! 👍

Responding to the original query,
“Given the number of fallen away [Former “Catholics”], I 'd really like to gain some insight on what caused your departure?”
I love the catholic church, just not the Roman Catholic Church. I disagree with Papal Infallability. I also disagree with the RCC’s stance on artificial birth control. Lastly, I feel strongly that faith should be centered on love, not sin.

I found the Episcopal Church… mind you I attend a very conservative Episcopal Church (there is quite a range across the country, so newcomers should tread lightly until they find the one that fits them best.) In my community, the Episcopal Church I attend is rather “friendly” with the local Roman Catholic Church parish - and we even do join ministry efforts and support the same causes. This, to me, is the true meaning of being a Christian. We believe in one holy, catholic, and apostolic church… (Yes, Episcopalians recite this in mass too)…😉

No, it only seems that way if a person does not understand the teaching on purgatory. Purgatory is the cleansing by fire spoken of in scripture. It is only available to those who have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus. I am kinda lost on how that is carnal?
I understand the RCC teaching but it is not taught in Scripture. The cleansing fire happens here during our time on earth. When we die our spirit is with Jesus. Our spirit has been cleansed by the Blood, every sin has been cleansed. Sin is manifested in the flesh which returns to the earth waiting for the final redemption. Your teaching is carnal or fleshly because it suggests more has to be done and is works based because others can offer things to get us out. When we are born again our spirit is made alive and must be strengthened to overcome the sin nature of the flesh and its desires. Eph 6:10-17 among other places.
You mean the belief that God purifies our souls so that nothing unclean will enter heaven shows a lack of understanding of the Eucharist? I think you lost me there.
In remembering the body and blood of Jesus we are remembering what was accomplished. That Jesus bore the penalty for our sins and we are clean - past, present and future - so we are purified by the cross - no need for further purification. Our flesh does not accompany us because sin resides there. Our flesh will be made new upon the return of Jesus.
But, to the extent that we suffer in the flesh, this can contribute to our spiritual benefit, as well as other members of the Body.
Yes, spiritual growth to use here on earth. Not self mortification though; only by persecution from others.
Yes. 👍 It is very Catholic of you to say this.
Not Roman Catholic but Christian part of the universal Body of Christ.
I think you are right, but this is the way that God decided to to things. Mary was already full of grace when the angel came. The angel greeted her as “Full of Grace”. This condition was already present when the angel arrived.
Full of Grace at that moment not from birth. It goes against too many Scriptures.

Today is the day to hear the truth…GOD would never call you away from His Son in the Most Blessed Sacrament…You listened not to God but to your own personal “feelings”, that’s where the devil gets us. Faith is not about feelings. To be spiritually fed we must "eat His flesh and drink His blood, or there is no life within you! And that’s a quote!!
you’ve taken John 6:51 out of context If you back up just a couple verses to John 6:47-48, you’ll find the context, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. I am that bread of life.” Jesus was speaking about salvation. To teach that Jesus meant for us to literally digest His body is not only absurd, but is also inconsistent with the rest of the Bible. In John 10:9 Jesus claimed to be the “door.” How do we go through this “literal” door?

The “door” which Jesus spoke of is NOT a literal concrete object, but abstract (cannot be perceived with the 5 senses). The Bible simply means that the door to heaven is THROUGH Jesus Christ! If John 6:51 is to be taken as literal instead of spiritual in meaning, then John 10:9 would make no sense at all.

When Jesus tried to explain to Nicodemus that he needed to be “born again” in John chapter three, Nicodemus took Jesus literally and was dumbfounded. Nicodemus was baffled, asking, how can I go back into my mother’s womb and be born again? He looked at Jesus like he was crazy. Nicodemus was not thinking on a spiritual plane, but earthly. Jesus was trying to teach Nicodemus a spiritual truth, but Nicodemus just didn’t get it. Just as Nicodemus FAILED to understand Jesus’ Words of Truth, so also do the you FAIL to comprehend the simple Word of God. John 6:51 has nothing to do with eating Jesus’ flesh and blood, it simply means that we need to believe upon the Lord for salvation.

In John 11:25 Jesus claimed to be the “resurrection.” Are we to go bury ourselves alive in the cemetery? Jesus claimed to be the vine, the light, the shepherd, etc. Matthew 10:38 reads, “And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.” Does God mean that we should literally carry wooden crosses around over our shoulder? Of course not! This would be as ridiculous Listen friend, you can eat all the communion bread in the world and still go straight to burn in the fires of hell. You had better get born again and stop fiddlin’ with religion. Jesus is the bread of life.

Jesus obviously wasn’t claiming to be a physical OBJECT when He declared that He was the Door, the Vine , or the Water of life…so why make the fatal mistake of thinking that Jesus is a loaf of bread? . There is NO magical power or mystical event happening at the Lord’s Supper, the Bible commands us to observe it only as a REMEMBRANCE of Jesus shedding His blood and suffering upon the cross for our sins. The Lord’s Supper is an ordinance.I did NOT write this to be unkind,God does not want ANYONE to burn in hell (2nd Peter 3:9). Won’t you come to Jesus now to be saved.

Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

John 11:25, “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.”

Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Do you admit that you are a GUILTY sinner, under the condemnation of God’s LAW, deserving of Hellfire?

Do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God (God in the flesh) who died upon the cross, sacrificing His precious blood to pay for your sins?

If you’d like to be saved, simply come in your heart as a guilty sinner and BELIEVE upon the Lord Jesus Christ.

It’s not what you’re doing that gets you to Heaven, it’s where you’re looking. Look to Jesus!

Isaiah 45:22, “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.”

“For with the HEART man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:10). It is with the heart that we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved. The confession of the mouth can only follow the believing of the heart. It is the believing of the heart that makes us righteous in God’s eyes because of Christ’s righteousness which is applied to our record. If we believe on Christ in our heart, it is “with the heart” that a person believeth unto righteousness. The very fact that a mute person cannot confess Christ audibly is proof that God doesn’t require it as part of saving-faith. Salvation is of the heart. We are saved by believing on Christ.

Among family and friends who left the church, these four reasons stand out in my mind.
Code:
1. **Theology.** They became convinced that there were certain doctrines that they could not believe. Transubstantiation could be one. Or, the Immaculate Conception. Some had a special problem with many of the saints and stories told about them that sounded incredible.

 2. **Authority.** Probably they were influenced by the democratic atmosphere in the USA, but they came to resent the idea that they had to believe everything mandated by the magisterium. They thought of this as a straitjacket that did not permit the freedom to explore, analyize, weigh, examine, etc. Some came to the conclusion that there were no clear answers to some ultimate questions and are content to live with maybes, possiblies, and probablies.

 3. **Personal ethics**. There was a strong reaction against the absolute ban of artificial birth control. Married couples thought this was irresponsible - and their personal decision. In a somwhat different area, they opposed required celibacy of priests, some felt women were shortchanged in the church, etc. The sexual scandal involving priests and the coverup by hierarchy alienated many who were already on the edge.

4.** Once they left Catholicism**, some looked back at apparitions, Papal infallibility, heavy reliance upon ancient traditions, crowning of Mary, confession to a priest, etc., as laden with superstition. Those who became evangelicals charged that Catholicism didn't stick closely enough to the Bible. Those who became liberal Protestants treasured their new 'freedom of thought'. Some just abandoned organized religion altogether.

Acts 2:42,46 They devoted themselves to the teachings of the apostles and to the communal life,to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers…Luke lists, the “breaking of the bread” as one of the defining charecteristics of the church. The remaining chapters of acts bears this out, as we repeatedly see the community “do this” in remembrence (offer this memorial sacrifice) Like so many other details in the life of Jesus, this one was foretold and foreshadowed in the Old Testament. Jesus taught that the Eucharist (thanksgiving) was foeshadowed in the manna given by God during Israel’s exodus from Egypt(see John 6:49-51) Indeed long before the Last Supper Jesus himself foreshadowed the Eucharist by multiplying bread to feed his congregations,by repeatedly evoking banquet scences in His preaching, and by choosing to be born in a town named bethlehem(Hebrew for house of bread). In an extended explicit foretelling, He detailed the theology of His Eucharistic presence in the famous “Bread of life discourse” (John 26-58) "I am the living bread which comes down from heaven; if any one eats this bread, he will live forever;and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is My “FLESH” (Jn 6:51) His flesh is bread, His blood is drink. This corresponds directly to His pronouncements over the bread and wine at the Last Supper: “This is my Body…This is the cup of My Blood”…the very action He COMMANDED His Apostles to repeat.

It is curious that those who ordinarily insist on strict literal reading of the bible will, with equal insistence, interpret these passages as metaphor. Yet Jesus did not treat “bread”, “blood”, and “flesh” as metaphors. In the bread of life discourse His language shocked His hearers. The verbs are more graphic in the greek. He is telling the people they must “chew” or “gnaw” His flesh. Yet the more the people expressed their disgust the more realistic and graphic Jesus’ language became…John 6:60 This is a hard saying who can listen to it ?"
This is true not only of the people who gathered around Jesus in Capernaum, but of Christians throughout history. Christians would endure charges of cannibalism from their roman persecutors, but they would not deny Jesus’ bodily presence in the Eucharist. And so I as a Catholic, I stand by the word of the new testament. Jesus knowing that His disciples murmurred at it said to them “Do you take offense to this” (Jn 6:61) and went on to say “the flesh is of no avail” but even this provides no way past His realistic language, because He was most certainly not speaking of His own Flesh…which CERTAINLY availed us of our salvation, did it not?
Lord to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

I understand the RCC teaching but it is not taught in Scripture. The cleansing fire happens here during our time on earth. When we die our spirit is with Jesus.
I am curious what you think the scriptures are talking about when we are purified with fire after our death. If you have already answered this, sorry, I am a little behind on the thread, but I will look for it.
Our spirit has been cleansed by the Blood, every sin has been cleansed. Sin is manifested in the flesh which returns to the earth waiting for the final redemption.
Do you have an idea about the Soul (mind and emotions)? Or do you consider them part of “Spirit”?
Your teaching is carnal or fleshly because it suggests more has to be done and is works based because others can offer things to get us out.
You don’t seem to believe that members of the Body of Christ can support and help one another by our acts of love and service.

Do you think that all good works are “carnal and fleshly”? Does this include the works mentioned in Eph. 2:10?
When we are born again our spirit is made alive and must be strengthened to overcome the sin nature of the flesh and its desires. Eph 6:10-17 among other places.
How does this happen? What happens when you are “born again”?
In remembering the body and blood of Jesus we are remembering what was accomplished. That Jesus bore the penalty for our sins and we are clean - past, present and future - so we are purified by the cross - no need for further purification.
I am sorry that your soteriology does not make any sense to me. In one sentence, you are saying we are perfected, and in another, you are saying that our flesh is still sinful, and that we need to be strengthened to overcome the sin nature and it’s desires. So, which is it? Are we pure, or do we have a sin nature?
Our flesh does not accompany us because sin resides there. Our flesh will be made new upon the return of Jesus.
How do you account for those whose flesh is in heaven?
Yes, spiritual growth to use here on earth. Not self mortification though; only by persecution from others.
What is “self mortification”?

Why do you think Paul writes about buffeting his body to subdue it?
Full of Grace at that moment not from birth. It goes against too many Scriptures.
I am sure it goes against how you understand them. But the Scriptures were written and canonized by the Catholic Church. That is why there is nothing in them that is not Catholic .

The angel greeted Mary Hail “One who has been previously and continously filled with grace”. The angel expressed that she was already full when he arrived. He greeted her not by name, but by a title.
You can call it by another name, adoration, but it has all the components of worship. It is exactly the same process as heathen worship.
Adoration is reserved for God alone. The adoration of any creature, or created thing, is a violation of the first commandment.

What are the “components of worship”?

What is the “process of heathen worship”?

Can you give an example?
Statue or physical object, offeriing, such as flowers, candles and prayers and songs.
Do you think that these things are inherintly “heathen”?
You just spin it in a way that sounds right. Even though you use an OT model of the queen mother; it does not apply because Jesus did away with the old model.
On the contrary, Jesus is the fulfillment of the OT model in every way. He is the Son of David, upon whose shoulder rests the Keys of the Kingdom. His mother has her status from His. She has no “queenship” in herself, but because she is the Mother of the King of the Universe, she is the Mother of God.
Acts would have been a perfect place to establish Marian doctrine but I don’t see it there.
No, the main focus of the early church was on the identity of Jesus. The Marian doctrines were not developed until the heresies about Christ were addressed in later centuries.

You seem to be suffering under a false assumption that the Bible is a complete compendium of the faith. This is not the case.
While I admire Mary and call her blessed for her ministry, I feel the RCC goes beyond Scripture in the place they give her.
Of course! The Catholic Church is entirely “beyond the Scripture”. The Church founded by Christ was never confined by the Scripture. The Church existed fully prior to any word of the NT ever being written, and ALL of the authors of that NT revered Mary as the Mother of God, ever virgin.

you’ve taken John 6:51 out of context
No,the “context” of the NT is the Catholic Church. There is nothing in it that is not Catholic. Any books that deviated even slightly from the Catholic faith were not included in the NT when the CC closed the canon in 382 AD.

Also, one of the ways heretics were identified in the early church was that they did not accept the Body and the Blood.
Fisher;7025932:
To teach that Jesus meant for us to literally digest His body is not only absurd, but is also inconsistent with the rest of the Bible.
Are you sure you were not one of the Jews that walked away from Hiim? 😉

On the contrary, the Lord’s supper was instituted in the context of the Passover, without which it cannot be properly understood. A real lamb was slain, and it was really eaten adn digested. Four cups of wine were consumed. It is taking the memorial out of this context that makes it inconsistent.
Code:
If John 6:51 is to be taken as literal instead of spiritual in meaning, then John 10:9 would make no sense at all.
Ahh. This is one of the most serious errors when interpreting the NT. Just because something is literal does not mean it is not spiritual, and those things that are spiritual may also be literal. This is a confusion of the tangible with “real” and intangible as “unreal” and that is a mistake.

You are right, though, it makes no sense at all if you don’t take it both literally and spirtually.
He did later, though, and he was finally baptized with both water, and spirit. 👍
Well, we do fail to understand why you can’t “get” what the Church has believed and taught ever since the last supper. Maybe you better study the meaning of anamnesis?
Does God mean that we should literally carry wooden crosses around over our shoulder? Of course not! This would be as ridiculous
I agree. I have never understood why people do this. It seems to me like there are plenty of crosses to bear!

Listen friend, you can eat all the communion bread in the world and still go straight to burn in the fires of hell. You had better get born again and stop fiddlin' with religion. Jesus is the bread of life.
Indeed, He is the bread of life. But Catholics do not consume “bread and wine”. We consume His Body and Blood, without which He commanded that we would not have life in us. Have you ever considered that it is impossible to profane that which is not present?
If it is not “really” His Body and Blood, then how could one possibly take it in an unworthy manner? why would there be consequences?

Jesus obviously wasn't claiming to be a physical OBJECT when He declared that He was the Door, the Vine , or the Water of life...so why make the fatal mistake of thinking that Jesus is a loaf of bread? .
First of all, why would it be fatal?

Jesus did use many metaphors, but when it came to the last supper, He used the Passover, and HImself became the Lamb that was slain.
There is NO magical power or mystical event happening at the Lord’s Supper, the Bible commands us to observe it only as a REMEMBRANCE of Jesus shedding His blood and suffering upon the cross for our sins.
Magic, no, but mystical, most certainly. I think you must be unfamiliar with the nature of anamnesis. When Jesus commanded the Apostles to “do this” He used the word to “make”, as in “make a sacrifice”, just a the lamb was sacrificed for the Passover.
The Lord’s Supper is an ordinance.I did NOT write this to be unkind,God does not want ANYONE to burn in hell (2nd Peter 3:9). Won’t you come to Jesus now to be saved.
Do you think people that believe in the Real Presence are unsaved?

Do you think Catholics do not believe all these verses you pasted here? They are Catholic verses. We believe all of them.
it’s not what you’re doing that gets you to Heaven, it’s where you’re looking. Look to Jesus!
Do you think that those who believe in the Real PResence dont’ look to Jesus?
It is the believing of the heart that makes us righteous in God’s eyes because of Christ’s righteousness which is applied to our record.
Sounds like doctoring the books. 😉

Given the number of fallen away [Former “Catholics”], I 'd really like to gain some insight on what caused your departure?

I ask all to apply extreme charity in this dialog.

Love and prayers,
Pat
I’m a “revert”, after 25 years away. In hindsight I left because I had to find out for myself it was true. I’ve always had to do things the hard way. 🤷

What was it that made it impossible for you to find out where you were?

If you’re asking why I couldn’t recognize the truth in Catholicism at the time, I simply didn’t. By the time I was a teenager I had to be honest with myself that I really didn’t know if the Christian message was valid. I now see this world as an exile from God, a place where we have the opportunity to come to know our need for Him-perhaps after wallowing in the Prodigals pigsty for awhile! But the message I’d been taught “kicked in” later on, via a circuitous route through study of other faiths/philosophies, getting into the bible intensely, Protestantism, and then ultimately, and to my own surprise, back home to Catholicism.

Wow you certainly know the heart of every person.

Why did I left the Catholic Church? Well, every Sunday , I would go to the Mass, so Mass starts ,we give thanks to Jesus one time, then proceed to give thanks to Mary about 5 times, we worship God, for about 1 minute, read one book from the OT for about 1 minute, then sing one psalm for 1 minute, we read one passage from a Pauline Letter for about 1 minute , we read one passage from a Gospel for about 2 minutes. So the sermon starts, the “Father” explains the sermon (that BTW is not so good, seems as if he doesn’t prepares enough, but who knows…) for about 10 minutes, offering time 1 minute, Eucharist time lasts for other 10 minutes. As soon as Eucharist time ends everybody will just leave (without the Mass ending),announcements, some more talking. Ending worship song for about 20 seconds.

So , yes this is the sad story of every Sunday I went to the church, everyone will just rush in, so that everybody can eat and drink the body and blood of our Lord and after that leave. Why don’t they just offer Eucharist at the beginning. Cold fast-rushed worship, cold fast-rushed sermon, Eucharist. This is the strategy the church uses to maintain its member attendance I guess, so that people won’t get bored.

So then I started to question, if the Eucharist is really the body and blood of Jesus, then why after receiving it,people would leave like, if they didn’t wanted anything else, after that people fighting at the parking lots(…).

Every Sunday people come in the same way , eat the Eucharist and bye bye. Then when I did discovered (this is my belief no offense intended to what you believe), that the body and blood of Jesus are spiritual food and drink, I discovered how to eat it and drink it. So I no longer believe as the Catholic Church teaches so I can’t be a part of the Catholic Church, that would be hypocrisy. Nonetheless, I still admire the CC for the work it has done, and I don’t think it is “wrong” maybe innocently (like the Indulgences) , just that some of their teachings are misleading and can cause more harm than well.

I am much more better at the church I am in right now. Worship lasts for about one hour, sermon for about 45 minutes, Lord’s Supper, as He commanded it. And again praise and worship our Lord for 30 minutes. There are many testimonies, many youth groups, many activities, preachers, and empowers people to preach to people without God, hunger for the saving of the souls that is. I got to admit it, sometimes is boring, but nevertheless my faith is strong, and I keep on worshiping my God, Yahweh.

God bless
I LOVE to hear that people find God, no matter where they find Him. I was raised Southern Baptist, and married a Lutheran so I got to experience different methods of worship before I came to the Catholic Church (not going to tell my story because it’s the opposite of what the OP is asking, but my experience with Mass has been much different than you described). My best friend is now teaching Sunday School at her Southern Baptist church and I’ve never seen her so fired up! I think there will always be a little evangelist in me just tickled at seeing anyone get excited about God 🙂 I know God leads people to Him in different ways, sometimes puts people in strange situations, but I think it’s because He knows you’ll reach people there that may have otherwise never listened to someone speak about God.👍

I am curious what you think the scriptures are talking about when we are purified with fire after our death. If you have already answered this, sorry, I am a little behind on the thread, but I will look for it.
Chapter and verse please
Do you have an idea about the Soul (mind and emotions)? Or do you consider them part of “Spirit”?
We are composed of spirit, soul, and body. We are a spirit, who has a soul, who lives in a body.
You don’t seem to believe that members of the Body of Christ can support and help one another by our acts of love and service.
That is not what I said or what I believe
Do you think that all good works are “carnal and fleshly”? Does this include the works mentioned in Eph. 2:10?
Of course not. Works that come from our new nature are spiritual. Works that come from our desire to prove our goodness or to advance our spiritual position are carnal.
For example, if we give to a good cause or a church out of guilt or what anyone would think of us, that is carnal.
How does this happen? What happens when you are “born again”?
By the power of the Holy Spirit. Our spirit is brought back to life.
Our spirit is pure, our flesh has a sin nature
How do you account for those whose flesh is in heaven?
The grace of God
What is “self mortification”?
A practice where the body is beaten by one’s self in order to be more holy and less sinful.
Why do you think Paul writes about buffeting his body to subdue it?
He is talking about denying certain things in order to maintain moderation
Adoration is reserved for God alone. The adoration of any creature, or created thing, is a violation of the first commandment.
Exactly, like an image, like a manufactured wafer, or statue, or artifact.

Do you remember when I explained to you that, because of your rudeness and ad hominem attacks, that I would no longer respond to you?
What are you talking about I have never talk to you B4,What attack and what rudness I have never talk to you ,Please tell me what you are talking about

Indeed, just as the angels of heaven rejoice. He can write straight with crooked lines!
