The show is scheduled for Wednesday, August 18.
His Excelleny is a Good, holy and pious servant of God.

As Bishop of LaCrosse he accepted the challange to become the National Director of the Marian Catrecheist Apostolate of which I am a member. He is now our International Director.

I have had the GREAT pleasure of meeting him on serveral occasins and hearing him speak at Theachers Forum in Ky..

The Church is Blessed to have him.

Love and prayers,
Pat

Amazing how he is smeared by people who know nothing about him. Enrollment in the seminary more than doubled he became archbishop. They are working on expansion now.

I love the one about how he was promoted to Rome in order to get him out of the way in the states. The Holy Father must think he’s a real problem by the way he has made him a member of so many Vatican congregations……

I don’t know very much about his excellency, but I do know EWTN. They definitely don’t allow slouches on their shows, or people who don’t teach the true faith. I’m looking forward to seeing him on the show with Fr. Mitch and hearing what he has to say.

As far as the other rumors, why is it that when a person gets promoted or moved into a different position, people automatically assume the worst? Don’t they know it just makes them look jealous, petty and small?

Scout :tiphat:

How about the comment that said he bought a Mercedes with the proceeds of closed parishes?:o

I’ve had the pleasure of having dinner with Prefect Burke on more than one occasion.

St. Louis has been blessed with its ArchBishops. I also heard Cardinal Rigali on an EWTN show this week, about his service to JP II as translator (sorry, don’t remember the show’s name).
