We can’t judge another culture.
I’ve been interested in this claim for some time and have come to the conclusion that we
can and
must judge other cultures because we have to choose the one to live in. Even if you live in the one in which you were born, you have judged others by rejecting them as your home.
Then they could judge ours and then we would be left splitting hairs about the Crusades.
I don’t care if they judge ours. As I indicated above, it is necessary.
I think a lot of discussion about the Crusades is long overdue in the West. Westerners, particularly Americans and Catholics/Christians in general have been saddled with a lot of undeserved guilt which Muslims have been quick to exploit. The better informed we are, the less likely we are to succumb to their ridiculous propaganda, particularly about the Crusades. And we don’t need to “split hairs” over them to understand they were a response to
463 years of Muslim aggression. And you don’t make peace by appeasing aggression.
If you think that is an exaggeration, just ponder how Muslim armies got from Medina c. 632 AD to most of southern and Eastern Europe in the Middle Ages and the gates of Vienna in AD 1683 … by knocking on doors and handing out brochures on street corners? Gimme a break.
Having said that, let me conclude that I’m not into bashing people individually because it accomplishes nothing. I try to concentrate on the ideology of Islam, or whatever. I do believe that Islam is a threat to the world because it is all about war, conquest, and death. It not only gives a man an excuse to revert to his feral nature, it holds out the promise of heavenly reward for indulging in uncivilized, barbaric practices. It keeps women from having an influence on society because it knows all too well and good that women civilize the man. If that ever happened, it would spell the end of Islam. In short, it’s a Mafia with a “how to” manual.
If that’s splitting hairs or being judgmental, so be it.
