Did you have any trouble answering every question correctly?

Yes, non-Muslims do horrible things and no one connects these acts with a specific religion. Yes, Muslims commit terrible acts that have nothing to do with Islam.

But, gee, a lot of them do.

asalamulakum Muslim_Woman,

Is there anything in Hadith which might provide someone a reason to argue that killing in the defense of one’s honor is a virtuous act for a Muslim?

Just Curious.
If u mean kill family members to save one’s honour , no , it’s not allowed in Islam . No individual person has any right to kill other people. It’s the Judge who will decide if a person is a sinner or not , deserves death penalty or not .

Last Prophet (pbuh) did not order any husband to kill his wife. Instead he said : “Treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers.”

From the last sermon of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh)

Islam Denounces Terrorism

God commands justice and doing good and giving to relatives. And He forbids indecency and doing wrong and tyranny. He warns you so that hopefully you will pay heed. (Qur’an, 16:90)

…Murdering a person for no reason is one of the most obvious examples of mischief. God repeats in the Qur’an a command He formerly revealed to Jews in the Old Testament thus:

…if someone kills another person - unless it is in retaliation for someone else or for causing corruption in the earth - it is as if he had murdered all mankind. And if anyone gives life to another person, it is as if he had given life to all mankind… (Qur’an, 5:32)

ask those Americans who regularly watch News. I hope they do remember what their dear 2 times President told the nation. If they can’t remember , google is here 🙂

Does anyone else here notice the parallel between the rhetoric use against Muslims here and the rhetoric used against Catholics by Fundamentalists? The same fallacies keep popping up. Not all Muslims are violent terrorists and not all priests molest children.

Perhaps we should recall and put into practice the Golden Rule our prophet taught.
I think you’ll find the arguments involving Islam are on Islam, not particular muslims. And they are generally being supported by Islam’s own doctrine. No one, that I’ve seen on here, has made the claim that all muslims are violent terrorists. So, I guess, that’s a no.

However wilful ignorance of the ideology you not just adhere to, but openly promote, is not an excuse for believing that ideology to be correct.

One in nine Christians are living in persecution, mostly they are in Islamic majority countries. The basis of the persecution can be found in the Islamic ideology itself. I am practicing the Golden Rule as, if I was living in persecution, without a voice, I would like a voice to be expressed on my behalf. This is just one place the unheard are being heard.

ok, i just googled, came up with 0. It was him swearing in as president i mostly found. But, the fact is, no church had backed his stance on going to war, where as, imams and islamic leaders DO back terrorist attacks and the killing of innocents. That is why islam is included when it comes to terrorist attacks etc.
So, unless the Pope gets up and declares he supports any war, which he never will, you can tie Catholicism to wars.

Obviously you and this CHRISSE chick have no idea as to what you are talking about. Please do your research before you decide to engage in pluralistic dialogue.
:rotfl: chrisse chick, love it.

There, there, truth hurts, sweetie. It’s good for you though. Deal with it and you come out a better person.

**Bush is a Christian ; he claimed that God told him to attack Iraq , Afghanistan . ** 😃
I’m guessing/hoping that you just misspoke here - when in the world did former Pres. Bush ever say God ‘told’ him to attack anyone? That’s just ridiculous, but I’m not sure that that is what you meant to say. 🤷

ooh, dolphinlove, I’m thinking Bush is going to be the next major politician convert to the Church. If he did, oh what a field day they’ll have.

The Revelation of St. George
“God Instructed Me to Strike Saddam”

By CHRIS FLOYD

So now we know. After all the mountains of commentary and speculation, all the earnest debates over motives and goals, all the detailed analyses of global strategy and political ideology, it all comes to down to this: George W. Bush waged war on Iraq because, in his own words, God “instructed me to strike at Saddam.”

…Here are Bush’s exact words, quoted by Haaretz: "God told me to strike at al Qaeda and I struck them, and then He instructed me to strike at Saddam, which I did, and now I am determined to solve the problem in the Middle East.

Okay we got your point, I think the landslide victory of that Chicago resident is a clear indication America does not approve of Bush’s War.

Now we need answers, do you approve the actions of that guy
hiding in the mountains of pakistan and the rest of the muslim terrorist around the world? or you condemn their actions?

By the way do you condemn the action of this “Oh-So-Positive” Media man against your fellow muslimah?

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
I do not wish to address everything you have mentioned in this post because it is clear to me that you are one of the many gulible americans that are easily influenced by western media. The media shapes images of groups of people as they see fit. They’ve done it with african-americans, mormons, and Muslims. Jihadists are not the majority of the muslim world, unfortunately its all the media care to inform you about. Peace doesn’t make the news so you will not hear about the peaceful muslims until now. I am informing you that majority of muslims are peaceful and humble.
It strikes me as surprising that I am having this dialogue with Catholics who were recently caught up in drama with the Priest situation. It happened so frequently and in so many different places that one could attribute it to the religion. I am more intelligent to do so however.
Christians/athiest/jews/buddhists are now not people of different races. However, muslim men are allowed to marry “People of the Book” i.e Christian or Jewish women.
Unfortunately, the issue of jihadists is one that is beyond many muslims. Their punishment is in the hand’s of Allah. Suicide is not legal in islam nor is killing innocent people.
I hope this helps
Every country has lots of bad history. Which one’s in America were done in the name of Christianity? To be honest most of the bad things you could construe as being done for religious reasons in the US were done to Christians. But what did you have in mind?

I understand why that you wouldn’t want to talk about slavery as Muslims also practiced slavery in that period of time, and some Sharia nations continue to do so today. What Christian nations still hold to that institution?

As to one race being better than another. Most American Christians/Atheists/Jews/Buddhists wouldn’t have a serious problem with one of their own marrying a Muslim Arab/Pakistani/Persian/Egyptian/Afghan. Yet generally speaking the reverse couldn’t be said could it? It might even become deadly.

No he didn’t. He said he believed it was God’s will to fight evil and terrorism. I certainly wouldn’t hold it against you to think this was misguided, most American’s would agree. However, this wasn’t a Christian war and was never meant to be interpreted as such. Some of nations that were mentioned at that time were not even Muslim. His goal though was to plant “democracy.” Ironic as that may be.

That is true.

That is an enlightened view on your part, and I commend you for it. Your problem here though isn’t with Americans or Christians. Your problem here is that there are entire countries of Muslims with a different view. I’m not going to get into who is a “real” Muslim or not. But just as you strongly believe that Islam should be peaceful. There many Muslims who think it should be militant. You’re conflict is with them, not us. Get your brothers and sisters in the faith to view things in more peaceful terms, and you’ll see a total change in people’s reactions to your religion.

Islam isn’t being picked on. Its adherents have created a completely self-destructive PR machine. Ever wonder why no other major religion gets so many assumptions of violence and corruption leveled against it? Its not just random.

Well technically speaking that’s not really true. But I take your meaning. Still, even then it only takes one to threaten or start one.

I would love to see proof against these accusations. You guys act as though America is sinless. Slavery in America just ended fairly recently I would say about the late 1990s. Many people still feel as though black Americans are inferior. So lets not be naiive
Yes, and it’s illegal in a number of Islamic countries in name only. The slavers are never brought to court. 😦

The Saudi Arabian camel jockey trade is particularly disgusting. The camels are treated to the most luxurious care, while the little children (often bought from poor muslims in countries such as Pakistan) are treated less than we treat our dogs.

Of course, to terrorizes another group of people for POLITICAL means is simply uncalled for and can not be attributed to Islam.
At one point, Americans were all for Bush’s policies and many of you reelected him president. It was only recently that you became aware of the terror tactics that Bush’s administration was using to get you to stand behind him in the war.
Does that answer your question?
RuebenJ’s point was much of the Americans condemn Bush’s policies in the war in Iraq. Now i ask you muslimah727and the rest of muslims on this forum, do you CONDEMN ALL ASTROCITIES made by muslim terrorist around the world?

What?! I’m not sure where you live, but slavery ended in America in 1865 with the adoption of the Thirteenth Amendment of the Constitution.
The 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution, passed by the Senate on April 8, 1864, by the House on January 31, 1865, and ratified on December 6, 1865, abolished slavery as a legal institution.
Section 1:
"Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
Section 2:
Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation." greatamericanhistory.net/amendment.htm

What means are acceptable to terrorize people if “POLITICAL means” are “uncalled for”?

Lesson learned from this story:

Do not make a Muslim angry or your will lose your head.

I am wondering:

Did he behead her according to the Sharia (Islamic Law)?

If not, then he is in big trouble. No virgins for him.

SubhanAllah, that was not a very nice comment. Perhaps you should refer to the forum rules.

Clearly you are trying to find fault in Islam. There has been a sealed placed on you by Allah perhaps you will never understand.
No means are acceptable for terrorizing anyone. You attack those who attack you. I believe it’s called Self-defense in America

ok There are two types of laws: de facto and de jure. De jure, slavery was supposed to end but the law was not practised in many places in this country. In fact, new laws were composed to keep black americans enslaved , de facto that is. Hope this clarifies my point clearly. If you do not believe me, interview black americans living in the inner cities or even those who were living during the civil rights era.
