In Nepal & India , Muslims are not allowed to eat cow meat as Hindus worship cows though it’s not the teaching of their holiest book Veda but a local tradition. In the West and most non-Muslims countries , Eid is not a holiday when Christmas is a holiday in all Muslim majorities countries . I never heard media is complaining that these are hampering the rights of Muslims.

Japan. Interesting Japan is over 80% atheists. Very little crime and their jails are virtually empty. A great country as you stated yourself. No, but I like people expressing their own personal views and if you read the many comments in Toronto newspapers and Wisconsin media outlets and listen to many talk shows you will learn that over half are positive about these ads. Not many upset.
Canada states that over 70% baptized christians down from 98% less then 100 years ago, but Angus Reid polls indicate last year that over 60% of Canadians believe in evolution not creationism. Canada has more baptized catholics then protestants where in the USA its the opposite. Protestants out number catholics almost 2 to 1. Intersting times. I am sure numbers like that upset you. So be it.

We don’t have a day off for Easter. And there are quite a lot of Christians who work on that day - if need be. Many businesses run on Sunday. Get over it. This junk that you can’t modify your private religious stuff is pure hogwash. We have a Good Friday and we work during that day. Businesses took away our three hours from noon to three a few decades ago. We got over it.

I am not versed well in Islam. Should we be? The catholic church never taught me and I had no other interest to learn. I have many other interests none of them religious. Catholic faith there is nothing else to learn…kind of boring. Its obvious with so many of your posts about Muslims you seem to be fascinated by their culture. You know more about them then you know about your own faith. Interesting! Do I agree with their cultures? Probably not. Do I criticize individual Muslims because they were taught this through their family traditions like catholics, jews, protestants, hindus, are taught about their traditions. No. I don’t hate, but I give my opinions of what I know which might be limited to your knowledge of Islam.

America is just about at its pinnacle with christianity. Protestant groups are divided over homosexual issues. Catholic church still has its sex abuse issues that have cost the collection plate payers nearly $2 Billion and counting. The catholic laity are divided over the abortion issues, same sex issues, birth control issues, priests wanting to make celibacy optional. Women wanting to be priests. There is not a lot of harmony within the catholic church. There are special interest groups within the church. .41 states have rent a priests available. .One good thing there is a watchdog group of catholics called SNAP that keeps the catholic church under scrutiny. Good for them........keep up the good work. There is not much else to say about the Muslims. We can't change their ways but americans are changing their ways. American beliefs will look a lot different in a generation or 2 then they do today. Get ready for the new america.

Let me see - we look at such crimes as abhorrent and take the perp - put them in jail, give them a trial, and mete out punishment if necessary.
In a muslim country - if they are considered ‘honor killings’ (rape and torture are included in this category) it is ok since the man is the victim. Especially if the women didn’t have 4 witnesses to her rape - she is killed.
If these things are done to non-muslims - not a second thought is given to the person who did these things.
IF you are a non-muslim you really need to crack open some books and start reading what you are trying to defend.

As far as democracy is concerned, although we would differ on which ones, we would agree that we have had some bad presidents, all elected by the people. Were those changes to bad presidents “good”? I can say that when I am on a jury I try to just take the facts of the case. Can muslims say the same thing?
Well, even there I wouldn’t trust them because of their definitions of some words being so different than ours.
And since deception is part of their religion, well I don’t trust them.
