I was not referring to celibate persons with SSA, but to the website that states sisters may be married or in same-sex relationships with or without children. This implies to me that the SS relationships are not expected to be celibate ones. If they are, then this should be stated, as celibacy is not mentioned anywhere on the site.
Understood. That part did make me a bit queasy.

No person with same sex attraction should be in the religious life. I person must be free of this affliction. We have too many living in the closet now.

While I view being celibate as a good thing, however the person must be free of same sex attractions. There should be no attraction period. I lived as a gay man for over 43 years.
By the grace of God I have been healed from this terrible affliction. Completely healed. If I still had same sex attraction I would never be wearing a religious habit. A religious must never have a hidden agenda or attraction. I know several gay priest who are hanging out in gay bars. This is deceiving the Blessed Lord and the faithful.

Hi Bro. Christopher:

I am already 43 years old and had been applying to be part of a religious order even before when I was still younger. My very first attempt to join a religious order was when I wan still 17 years old. The second time was when I was 22 years old…

Bro. I am a victim of Poliomyelitis when I was still 1 year old. This caused my left leg to have a retarded growth. Now, my left leg is shorter than my right leg by about 3 inches…and although i walk awkward …I can walk without the use of crutches. With this condition, I guess, this became the reason why I was not accepted to join Marist Brothers and Jesuits.

I read your post here and we have the same cause…the vocation to join the Lord’s fold who will serve the poor and evangelize to them…just like Mother Theresa of Calcutta.

Can I join your religious order?

I am in the Philippines right now. If you can come here and extend your order here or help us start your order here, I really would appreciate it

God be with you Bro. …May the Holy Mother sees your labor and may the Holy Spirit bless you.

With you in spirit.

Hermie

My Brothers and Sisters, I am happy to say that after 6 years of struggling I am still doing exactly what God called me to do. Because of the many problems along the way I have changed the name of the Lay order to the Brothers of Padre Pio. While I have many volunteers who assist me with the homeless, I still have no other Brothers. Over the last 6 years I have had 6 different men asking to join. However their first question to me is “how much does it pay”?
I truly believe that when God is ready he will send me the right men. Until then I am content being on my own. Many things have changed since 2008. I have been fortunate to serve in many areas of our faith. From working with the homeless, poor and sick to conducting Rosaries rallies and being on Catholic radio.
I have had many downfalls along the way resulting in giving up. I remember one day where I had enough and quit. The next day I drove through skid row in Los Angeles and found a dead homeless man on the street… As I stood there and prayed for that poor soul I knew that God wanted me there at that very moment.
I have been truly blessed with good health and the energy to carry on.
Please pray for me.
God bless,
Br. Christopher B.P.P.

If you want a concrete example of someone founding an “Order” recently I would say look at the Brigittine Monks of Amity, OR. The reason I put quotation’s around order is that as far as I know no new orders are allowed to be created, only new monasteries/abbey’s with unique constitutions. Br. Benedict Kirby was a nurse before and during the first few years he was founding his monastery. It took ten years before they were on solid ground, so it’s not an over night endeavor. Br. Benedict is no longer living but there is still a Br. Steven there who was there from almost the beginning who might be able to answer any questions. Good Luck!
