Four priests, four friends, one faith undergoing historic changes.

I found this article from the Salt Lake Tribune and found it highly interesting. I didn’t see it posted here yet, so I thought I’d share.

The four priests-to-be are George Niederuaer, Roger Mahony, William Levada, and Tod Brown, who found themselves in St. John’s Seminary Class of 1962.

Interesting. I had no idea these four were so closely linked.

Would like to have heard more about the similarities and differences in their individual approaches to preaching the gospel and leading their respective dioceses though.

It’s tempting to conclude that hard times can be blamed on the leaders during those times. More likely the leaders are still only small cogs in the machine of history.
