Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.

Give us this day, our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive
those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but
deliver us from evil.
Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee.

Amen

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell,
lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of Your Mercy.
Amen

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins,
my Mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.

I add prayers as well for the intercession of St. Lydwine of Schiedham. patroness of the chronically ill and those afflicted with prolonged suffering and Servant of God Fr Nelson Baker.

Father Allard has continued to successfully concelebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass each Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Today (Tues, March 30, 2010) he will be offering the Holy Sacrifice for the intentions of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Last Sunday’s (March 28) celebration was a little unusual. We had to celebrate Passion Sunday without any palms. Apparently the palms were ordered but didn’t show up… and I have a feeling that they won’t show up now (the only thing more embarrasing for a supplier if the palms don’t arrive by Palm Sunday, is if they arrive after🙂 ). There wasn’t even any time to improvise.

On the brighter side, despite becoming physically a little weaker, Father Allard had enough of a voice on Passion Sunday to audibly participate in his concelebration in the auditorium. For this to happen his microphone has to be turned up louder than the other mics and has to be positioned in very close proximity to his lips, without obscuring his view of the text of the Eucharistic Parayer in his Missal.

When it works, it is particularly edifying for some of the patients (more than 90% are wheelchair-bound) who see one of “the gang” , celebrating with them. It is also edifying for Father Allard’s brother and for any of his confrères who might drop by occasionally to discover that despite such adversity, Father Allard continues to exercise his priestly ministry.

Yesterday, when I brought him Holy Communion, his electronic chair was broken down again (this chair seems to be forever in need of repair). Getting his chair back soon is probably a good focus for several of our prayers. In terms of one’s autonomy, even just barely being able to move around in an electronic chair is of immeasurable significance. It provides a person with the capacity to say :
Code:
"I'm going to move from this point in the room over to that point."
Thanks everyone for the prayers.
