Have no fear; Unless there is a major cover-up, everything seems to be fine between Father Angelus and EWTN:

Hmmm. Anyone have a copy of the email in the first post. The issue that concerns me is no indication as to why he has been MIA.

Just went to the noon Mass at EWTN and Fr. Angelus was hearing confessions and said Mass. Somehow I think this may be a non-issue.

Sorry, I no longer have the original email. I received it this weekend. If you want update e-mails on the Friars, go to:

www.fatherangelus.com
and click on “links”

It did mention something about allowing more exposure to the other Friars. Hopefully, it’s nothing more than that.

It also said that he remaind the head of Order of Friars Minor Capuchin.

NO WAY!!!

No wonder why I haven’t been seeing him on EWTN. I was always waiting for him to appear in the Daily Mass!

How sad! :crying:

I loved his homilies! He was so cool!

Do you know what? I’m able to recognize more folks (the regulars) in the pews at the EWTN Mass than at my own church.

I wish Fr. Angelus Shaughnessy could come to my church.
LOL! I hear ya! I know those people in the pews on EWTN then the parish I attend! LOL!

You’re right, Fr. Angelus needs to come to ALL parishes! 😛

Well the homilies, referred to above, by Fr Angelus on Oct 2nd, 3rd and 4th have been replaced by more recent homilies.

I sincerely hope that Fr Angelus is not being censored.

If this is the case then they are on a slippery slope to nowhere. I for one will lose confidence in them.

Fr Angelus today. Fr Corapi tomorrow??

Allowing different priests in makes a lot of sense. I love Fr. Angelus, but there are certian points in many of his homilies that I can start reciting VERBATUM where he will be going next. I think they are looking for fresh faces and different voices.

Since there is no news link cited, this thread is closed. If you wish to discuss the merits or shortcomings of Fr. Shaughnessy’s homilies, please open a new thread in the appropriate forum.
