Have you read the Parable of the Good Samaritan? I think it makes quite clear we have responsibilities to our neighbors and their well being.
Yeah…a shame…I’d like to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he has a chip on his shoulder that caused him to not think through his comments. What about Redemptorists? I hope they are “real” Catholics because i attend a Redemptorist Parish. I would hate to find out they don’t qualify according to some guy on CAF.
It may not be the GOP who cuts you off. It just might be reality.I am not giving up my entitlement check, and the GOP doesn’t have the guts to try to eliminate my entitlement.
Hold up. I just read another post claiming that the congressmen were complaining this chaplain didn’t have time to provide pastoral care. Now they want a chaplain who literally won’t have the time to provide pastoral care? Not to mention that now some influential GOP Congresspeople are implying that the Chaplain should not be Catholic. The chair of the “Freedom Caucus” wants a Chaplain with a family. I think he is a Baptist and is not exactly being subtle that he wants a non Catholic Chaplain.
Which incidentally happen to coincide with being Catholic. And that’s what scares a lot of people on CAF…to good old tried and true Republican moral values,
The Dems are no more willing…my emtitlement checks will continue. Im confident nobody, left, right, or center has the guts to deprive me.It may not be the GOP who cuts you off. It just might be reality.
Other people’s money?..perhaps but those other people owe me my entitlement payments. And if push comes to shove, you’ll find they will not be there for when they can’t use the force of government to give you other people’s money.
Wouldn’t it be Caesar’s money? And if push comes to shove, you’ll find they will not be there for when they can’t use the force of government to give you other people’s money.
Not today. And that passage you are referencing is often misunderstood.Wouldn’t it be Caesar’s money?
Not sure why you are replying to me, Luigi…That is not my post. Not today. And that passage you are referencing is often misunderstood.
