Does anyone know what Fr. Corapi’s situation is? His black sheep dog website is shut down. I sure miss Fr. Corapi, I hope that what he’s accused of isn’t true.
Same here. He’s gotta make a comeback!I hope so, I LOVE his talks. He was huge in bringing me back to the Church.
Yes, Yes, Yes!!! I want a comeback too!!!Same here. He’s gotta make a comeback!
I pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy every day for Fr. Corapi. He was given so many gifts from the Lord. He was using those gifts so well. Satan uses his powers to try to thwart the Lord’s will. I hope that Satan gets forced back to hell by all those prayers for Fr. Corapi’s spiritual welfare. I’ve also invoked the aid of St. Padre Pio for Fr. Corapi. St. Pio has the inside track on how to fight the devil. Don’t stop praying.Does anyone know what Fr. Corapi’s situation is? His black sheep dog website is shut down. I sure miss Fr. I don’t think the gift of a captivating personality is either good or bad in and of itself. It depends on if the person who has it uses it in a positive or a negative way. I know many people who are great “front men” who have great character and have made very positive contributions to the world.I’m always worried by people with lots of personality, and who are successful because of it. Why? Becomes sometimes they don’t have character.
When I worked in prison as a catholic Chaplain I met a ton of guys with personality. Every prison wing is full of hem. They can be funny, charming, intelligent, challenging and seemingly great leaders.
But they are not in prison because of a personality defect, but a character defect.
Character is built by conscious choice through behaviors and discipline.
Personality can be nothing more than an ability to please the people in front of you for your own ends.
This is a good article.

I can kind of see where you’re coming from, but what about all the good he did? What about the things he said that other priests do not say? What about the people he helped bring back to the faith? What about his explanations of Catholicism to people who previously didn’t understand it? He also motivated people to follow their faith regardless of what people think or say about you, especially in this anti- Catholic world we live in. He promoted the Rosary to people that didn’t say it, he promoted confession, frequent Mass attendance… Fr. Corapi did a whole lot of good for the general Catholic population.Making a come back to public ministry would be the worst thing he could do. He’s an addict. He enjoys the attention. Them putting him out there in the first person just fuiled his addiction. For his spiritual and physical health they need to keep him out of public ministry.

I think I understand where you’re coming from. A lot of the priests who have significant popularity are more in the (and I mean this in the most positive and respectful way) “egghead” category as opposed to the “regular joe” category. So most regular guys aren’t relating to them. Father Corapi was better able to connect to many people because, kind of like a Johnny Cash of priests, he put his own struggles out there… he talked to them from a place of personal experience and understanding. But like child_of_God mentioned, for all the good he did, Father Corapi may have been putting himself in a bad place. I don’t claim to know, but if it’s true that fame was too big of a burden for him, then it would be best for him to avoid it.I can kind of see where you’re coming from, but what about all the good he did? This is sooooo true I have seen this so much! Great observation. I am terribly shy myself.
